With all the known go fast bits with e85 and meth bringing iat to subzero temps I pulled a
11.2. that’s pretty much the limit without a turbo or more displacement. That’s at rock falls in rock falls Wisconsin and my slip should be on their database on website. Also with the 500whp axles os giken twin and os 1.5 lsd set insane aggressive might as well been welded posi trac. Plus I have a focus final drive and 2-3rd gear set.

That being said as a person who has done federal prison time and lost his DL for 20 years in my youth for 9 counts of in dangering others on federal roads… drag racing is lame and proves nothing other than braking parts.

Lived that life long before the buster did and keeping it on track is good it still just proves nothing. Like measuring your co$k from behind your ***** lol

Point is it’s a mini lol.

Yea i just remember it from back in the day.

" Piloted by Vincent Tennessee Kung, MINI USAs Product Manager, the little “MINI That Could” took down car after car with multiple 10-second passes and trap speeds exceeding 135mph."

and it broke almost every run and never made a pass at its advertised boasted HP figures. I was around back then too. Hubie was involved as well as a host of so cal people. It was just all smoke and mirrors with the tv show
and what he did later in life to the auto community. It’s just bad juju and the car itself was all lies and shady shiz. All it takes is a little common sense and understanding to realize why would there be such a high horse, power car and build in fab work, but still use that Jenkee intercooler set up? Reason is it’s all fake and to fool the uninitiated, no expense was spared, but they left that on there anyway I digress

It was functional just didn’t do what they said, and lots of the build was remedial at best. I mean, if you have a high horsepower high publicity, car with everybody in the world, looking at it, including a manufacturer and you have intercooler pipes and welds that look like snot boogers. Does that sound like something that ECS would put out there? Lol

The r53 twin-y dual engine as seen on Jay Leno garage deserves more respect

+1 on the dual-engine Mini Cooper presented on Jay Leno's show. Two 250hp engines - one front and one back. Quite the bit of genius engineering, and all for a total cost of $30,000.

that was a fairly common modification on the originals.

@The Devil Z that's a good time (11.2) just curious were you on slick's or radials? I agree the drag-racing MINI is a waste of effort unless it's an LS swap or something, that launch-racing business will break your car like nothing else; it just wasn't designed for that. Glad you're back to living the good life man it's easy to land behind bars with all this motorsport performance stuff, just breaking into triple-digits can cause a world of problems these days.

Radials that had been belt sanded and dressed with root beer syrup

Hello,

Those M7 intercoolers and scoops are nla as far as i know. All they have are these.

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-m7-speed...-supercharger/

Contact our sales (call in) on your next order and they should be able to add those stickers in. Its a manual process.

No engine Plaque other then the stock MINI one. https://www.ecstuning.com/Search/Sit...h/71220933608/

Randy is not part of M7 speed anymore. He might have some of that old stuff used maybe? I have not seen him on here since like 2017.

These plaques seem to be a perfect fit for 3D printing. Any design/color can be printed and can even be printed with heat-resistant filaments.

So I pulled the trigger on a few more upgrades because the price on all 3x dropped ALOT and I had a 25% coupon for the sideskirts too !
but i got a catcam469 which should be hete any day and i will have it installed come end if February. I also ordered the dual AG sideskirts which look like a more aggressive aero skirt , kinda like the r56 jcw.
then i finally pulled the trigger on some wilwood rear brakes which are ALOT bigger than id though , lol they have as little clearance as the front brakes do.
I been spending the past few days figuring out how to get them installed and i juuuuust finally figured it out. Long story short i had to swap the brackets around in order for them to install exactly as instructions said. I called wilwood and will be ordering the correct brake lines then and though the pads seem to have alot of life left , I'm probably going to order a new set just because UNLESS they're stupid expensive or the brakelines are..
because I still wanna get the link ecu yet too but I couldn't pass up.the things at the prices they were exp since the car kinda needs them imo. I don't like a full front brake upgrade and nothing in the rear . It looks half done / ghetto to me.
I repainted the calipers and put on brembo decals and then I painted the brackets too but forgot to take a pic of them. I also cleaned and regreased the slide pins so all 4x are good n smooth.
I know the rear brakes do maybe 15%-20% of the braking but if I'm doing it , I'm doing it rite and all the way.
The reason I think I wanna swap to the 469 cam because this car has SO MUCH down low power and its unusable unless I had some stupid wide strait up slicks. So hopefully i gain more uptop and i wont mind abot of a sacrifice of downlow power.Though I will go to 225 I wont go to a slick , I will stick with high performance summer tires. The point of the build is to be able to get in the car , drive to the track , WIN and then drive back all without having to do anything other than add gas and adjust tire pressure while having the car comfortable and looking good still...

Hopefully the rear willwood are ok. I know their are one of the few companies that have BBK for the rear.

Duell AG side skirts factory are here: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-duell-ag...y-side_skirts/

They dont make any ones for the R50-R53 anymore. Those older Gen 1 MINI parts from Duell AG are all gone. Most are copies made in TW.

My guess is those are copies?

We do have the R56JCW aero ones here for the conversion, made off OEM molds: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...it-to-r53.html
