This is the world’s fastest MINI Cooper, a machine built by MINI USA and Fireball Tim Drag Racing. It isn’t just a wild claim though, it actually holds the actual official title for “World’s fastest MINI”. It’s body is made out of 100% carbon fibre, equipped with a John Cooper Works bodykit. The engine is twin-charged, resulting in a good 500 horsepower which is alot for the 772kg car. More photos after the jump.

I saw this Mini at the autoshow this year. It was pretty sweet. The splitter was huge, it could have cut off my leg hah.

 

Didnt the engine on this car "explode," causing BMW to thank the owner for acknowledging the engine's modification limitations? I could be wrong here but I thought I read about this 500 hp MINI-beast.... Jimbo

 

This car was built in partnership with MINIUSA and FTR... It isn't some run of the mill MINI owner trying to eeek every last bit of performance out of it.... Really, go find a copy of the latest MC2 and root around on Motoringfile and you'll learn what this car is and why it exists...
