Well it could be bad **** happens. Only point I was makign was there is not like half workign system or a system that runs better zip tied other than a system that wasnt working as intended. You didnt do that vgs mod did you if so reverse it. Unplug and cork it for the test run. Its pre blower vaccum prob throw a code if open to air but I guess I Dont know why you cant just take the filter only off. Maybe I dodnt get how its setup. I want you to leave the pipe on and just take the filter off the pipe or is it not able to come off the pipe? I Dont want you running naked off the throttle body just remove filter from end of pipe.
Quick dumb question - - can this be installed by dropoi g the pan, but with engine still in car? I'm amazed that as tightly packaged as this engine compartment is, dropping the pan is ridiculously easy.

Yes and its a high quality piece that is extremally functional and track worthy vs fancy logo crap of the other guys that is less effective. Suggest getting the tray and scraper. Again if the original engineer backs it so do I
Adam it seems like you have little issues often it might be time to make a small list of things to tackle before moving forward.
??? Like what ??? My car runs perfectly , no cel no nothing..I'm just trying to perfect things befor winter comes and I port out my head to R spec and port my sneed4speed Manifold to match..probably will also report my exhaust Manifold flange then to match the head again also...
my ONLY issue I'm having is I need a retune to run the meth , I'd had my tune set purposely abit rich to be on the safe side for when 93oct wasnt available and only 91oct.
so because of that once my meth engages it goes FAR too rich so i have to wait on Adrian to return home and have him do a retune for me..
I also arnt running the vgs mod , I tried that a few years ago and didnt like how my car drove with it that way. I didn't see any benefits and my car had terrible yoyo afterwards and no matter how light and feathering of the throttle I did it yoyoD.
I wonder though how it would run now because back when I had tried it I was on stock head , cam and sc..
The watercooled intercooler is enroute btw..once it's here I will post pics if it..I might get new pumps for it idk yet. I also am looking into what's best to run in it. I will probably run a high performance coolant or I seen actually intercooler fluid so I'm going to look into those vs water. Imo I'd like to run water as it's easier maintenance for if I have to remove the ic and then I also have the option to put ice water into the reservoir for when I need..im.SO excited to get and set up this ic.. I also may buy a larger reservoir and radiator/cooler for it.. we will see..
I know the build has been slow lately and updates but its just getting to the point where pretty much all that's left for me to do are expensive and time consuming. So come cold I have more to do.. I want to upgrade trans this winter..
Was cruising along today and knowticed my car began to run abit lean , then my cel popped on for a lean code. So I got it home and inspected and lol my 2x header bolts worked them selves almost all the way off..
so while I was down there I tightened the ***** out of all the others just encase. I then removed my 2x 02s and cleaned them and I also cleaned the map sensor..
amazing the peppiness it gets back when those sensors are cleaned... I'm sure it's from my tune being so rich that it fouls my 02 so fast , plus no catalytic converter either.
I theeeeeeeeen washed and buffed the car to get it ready to go to the local weekly car meet. Lol I swear 50% of the time my name gets drawn for free icecrem.lol LOVE getting free stuff ..

I think once I swapped over to better brand name parts my car began to run abit more rich plus I want it tuned FOR the meth injection when it starts and then fully Injects.. I ONLY run the meth for now on its 1st stage Injection on 80+ degree days and I have it injecting at 19psi so it's only injecting when I'm really on it and hitting max boost ( 22psi is my max boost btw )
If you plan to run water in your IC use distilled water. Its cheap at the grocery store, available by the gallon. I understand your reason for wanting water, it may be worth researching additives to use with distilled water. Regular bottled water or tap water has lots of crap in it that will corrode and leave deposits behind.
Adam, I'm curious whether that W-2-A IC system has a circulation pump not shown above? Or is that it on LH side of the reservoir? As discovered on my own (apparently a year 2006 1-off), it's a closed loop system without a reservoir but with a Johnson pump (Sweden) and largish dedicated radiator mounted down low. The IC itself is fully enclosed with no exposed fins.

New ic arrived and I got it partially installed.. I still have to run all the lines , radiator, reservoir and pump.. idk if I'm going to just say bye bye to ac since I gotta replace my compressor anyways. Then if I do I can sell off the compressor I bought and other stuff with it..idk yet..I probably will.
this ic looks absolutely SWEEEEET . Even the core is shaped differently than stock with the direction of the fins.
the radiator for it will fit once I remove my ac condenser/rad oooor I'm going to hunt ebay for a different shaped one that could be placed infront of my ac condenser buuuut if I can't, bye-bye ac FOR GOOD !

Why must you lose the AC? Mine has similar components and plumbing (although fully enclosed IC), however my AC was retained (thank goodness) and works great!

because the radiator is came with does not fit in between the crash bar and ac condenser. Though I cooooould trim the crash bar for clearance but I just ordered a different sized radiator for it that should fit with my ac condenser in IIIIF the measurements are correct on it that is..
And yea not new BUT new to me... i searched high and low for info on these abd there's very little..I believe very very few of these packages were made.. I read somewhere 3x ONLY but u can't see that being true considering the amount of time put into this. Then somewhere else I read that this WAS A 3000$ KIT !!!! OMG !!!!!
it's a very good setup and imo compared to grs liquid cooled setup. I got this for 1/2 the price of the grs and the grs though yea air does cool it kinda its not made to be aut cooled. The setup I have is MAINLY setup as air-cooled and the liquid is just a helper. This intercooler is 4x more rows larger than any oversized intercooler I found on the net too.
I'm very very excited to see how muxh better my iats are withit running just air through it , then i will test water and final test will be ice watet to see how long it retains the extra cooling benefits from the chilled water.

^^^ Perhaps it's just me, however ditching that "hot air intake" and going OEM JCW airbox (as you've stated you're considering) should significantly help reduce intake air temps. In any case, I'd avoid doing anything that eliminates factory air conditioning - for your comfort and eventual resale value. No offense meant - I tend to be overly conservative...
