1x new axle , STILL WOULDNT SEAT , got mad and THREW IT across my garage , decided to just say F and and see exactly how far it needed to go to seat and lol i gave it the Fonze effect and it slid in perfect. Then cracked thumb bone breaking loose my transmission fill bolt as I swapped in new fluid again because I had time to kill and was waiting to the new axle to FINALLY arrive...what a fricken thumb ache that was. Had I had a correct , good fitting part in the 1st place..
and I'm sure this was why and idk why BUT I measured both the input shafts and axle ends to compare and the new axle was 4mm fatter on both input shaft and axle end. So maybe they're actually stronger??? Who knows, idc so long as it's issue free..
no grasping anything tight for me for awhile , might have to take a week off putzing with the car and just cruise while it heals..
I completely forgot how great this build thread is! Great updates along the way. It is especially refreshing to see you review your changes, for positive and negative outcomes. It is awesome to see you tinker and iterate your mods, refining over time.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a pro alloy ic and running my meth kit into that instead of tapping the stock ic horn..
I wanted to buy a water cooled kit off another member but i met his asking price then never heard back so probably better anyways as i bet the pro alloy im going to like abd performs better anyways.
also I found a used Dinan larger throttlebody so I bought that and that's on route so ille be selling my 3in throttlebody and intake AGAIN,lol..
The reality is save your money on the pro alloy and use the stock intercooler and use that pro alloy money on aquamist. my .2 cents I only got mine for 100% Aesthjitc reasons. Nothing works better than meth. Nothing works better in that regard than the aquamist because of how it works. If the pro alloy is really cheap like 400 bucks I could see it. But if you had say 800 bucks my choice would be stock intercooler and the superior aquamist system that you can use and grow into. I mix groovy grape into my injection and when I am on the juice it smells like grapes!
As someone again with this unit its not that good. Citro's review is flawed. He got pissed at me on insta when I said the intercooler is not worth the price of admission unless your goign for looks. Then its a winner. But outside of looks its a Forking dud and is the suck to install.

absolutely no way ! I've already tested the stock ic vs my oversized ic and the stock ic runs temps avg of 20-30 degrees warmer WITH the same exact boost levels. And theres alot of data too with dyno priven results not just simple iats and boost levels like i was doing. I already have the meth kit ordered ( stage 2.5 snow and 4 gal of snpw premix for starters) . And the fact that the pro alloy deletes the stock ic horn is a big help , idk if you've ever seen how terrible those things are for flow. They need massive porting on the inside and even then if compared to the pro alloys setup , the stock horn is a major choke point vs the pro alloy.. and I really really wanted a water cooled version of my ic but the seller has ghosted me.
I get what ur saying on the price and pita install and price , truuuuust me.. but my cars at the point where ANY little gain i can get is good.
I will not be upgrading to a tvs due to price and my thumper tpr2 head is pretty dang good ( though someone bad mouthed them pretty bad and posted alot of garbage data but not getting into that) ... I could possssssibly go for a cam upgrade as I'm only running an ns1 cam BUT I really like my ns1 cam and head setup. I have 0 idle and drive ability issues and I see soooooo many others have issues there going to bvh and cam from other sources..maybe soon ille try a catcam as I see them run alot with decent success but I don't want to sacrifice drive ability..
would you wanna sell me your pro alloy ???? I got cash in hand !!!! And your choice of my current oversized ic or tgat amazing stock ic. And my horn

r32 one of my absolute favorites..... one was cruising around here not too long ago...o was it beautiful...
and yoour car wpuld still stay 100% complete and then youd have 600$ towards that sweetness of next build of your you got coming...
May i plz see some pics of the r32 ??? Exp if its the u.s spec , UGH ! ID GIVE A ,well I'd give one of my 2x ya know.lol
I will dig out the gintani. Not many made and worth more than before and more than a pro alloy. Look them up. That being said you would likely be the only one in states maybes the world to run one.
sorry I’m not touching the r53 it’s a completed system if that makes sense and the car is a piece of art so to speak and works as a whole as it is. But please check out the gintani and it’s pedigree and where it falls in the r53 history: it’s a complete working unit in like new condition but again it would be 3k itself. Not many people remember it or ever knew about it. The coper core defender of speed was another winner. I might have a lead on one of those.

Best bang for your buck in current state is the catcam 469 and Adrian. You won’t loose drive ability or hardly and low end at all and your mid range from 3700-8000 will be insane. Idle will be fine. For 500 bucks you get the cam and the tune and a wicked
on the pipe experience. You don’t like it and yOi will sell the cam and switch back for minimum loss but again it’s all gain. People who say otherwise are bench builders and just spitting out what they read and not what they experienced. Now the 464 that’s a different story.

I knew you where familiar I am not trying to measure dicks or anything here. I am just trying to use my over 20 years knowledge with this platform with you. you dont have to take the information its ok. My build and experience speak for themselves. As far as the cams go I have over a dozen here on the shelf and notebooks of info and experiences with each one. No worries though. If you do choose to believe me again pickup the 469 and the fresh tune and enjoy the 20 whp gain. I didnt mean anything when I said if you really have. I haven't posted here for over a year for a reason. The reason was people wanted clear paths to get where I have gone and gotten but don't want to follow or just argue. Not saying that's you. Everyone can do what they will or want. But there is not much secret sauce to speak and to get to a specified goal has limited routes sadly with the r53. Porting blowers or intakes or making things bigger doesn't do much without the science as to why or if its impacting in a negative way. So while I applaud you enthusiasm there is again limited ways to get to where you want to go with the hardware you have. Take e85 without it and the proper knowledge and hardware and my tuning experience I would be down 60whp and on petrol still. Just offering my experience so others know proven methods and so others dont need to spend wasted money like I did. Again I have Autism so excuse any perceived ego. No worries though. I await my Veicomer head to arrive for the turbo r53 build. Far to many projects going. Gotta finish the turbo r53 then get the r32 off the boat which has been a nightmare in lockdown with the ports shutdown etc.
Before I leave the thread I will just say this. Again speaking as someone who has gotten to the end goal. If you have a good flowing BVH then the NS1 is holding you back compared to the 469. That's just facts. Its not even a shifting powerband thing its how long your valve train is open and how long its open where it counts. Take it for what its worth. I hope you get to where you want to be. Also there is another 400+whp Full mental RMW r53 tvs 900 car in the fox valley too. But this guy roams your streets just doesn't call attention to himself. I just dont think he wants to be put on blast but he is there and his car is mental indeed. I will drop a pic of his front end here though.

Compare cam maps and measurments just make sure the readings you are seeing are taking from relativly the same spot. That fact your power band will let you take it comfortably up to 8200 says it all. The NS1 will as well but it wasnt designed for that. The 469 has peak torque at 4800-5200 and pulls like a freight train to 8200. I made good power with just 550 the 469 and rmw header and milltek cat back for my first tune with bytetronik. 17% pully too. Think it was 240ish whp and 210 ft lbs.
Im telling you pickup the 469 and have adrian re do your mid range and idle. Can even have him do a ghost cam -+25 for timing at idle and have a wild lope that will test your mounts!
What nozzle sizing? Please be cautious. Have seen people loose tons of power and even hydorlock. SAw the 50/50 boost juice. Check out the Aquamist forums for tons of god info on injection in general. Heaps of solid learning and hours of good times. few R53 builds there as well.
Got my unicorn throttlebody and WOW I looooove its feel. Seems to provide very near higher rpm feel but yet nooooooo dead pedal feel WHAT SO EVER and NO loss of lower end AT ALL. I'm soooooo glad I stumbled across this dinan throttlebody.. I have to take a break on installing the meth kit n stuff as I'm going to be taking the car on another little 600 mile round trip journey to go visit and hang out with my Pops. Poor Ole guy had to put his cat down ( we love our cats like dudes do their dogs ) so I know I can make him smile awhile...
I ended up putting the 3in throttlebody I'd had on for abit up forsale with a complete ported intake n other stuff.. I also have a brand new stock throttlebody I'm going to port out fully and then compare that vs the dinan ( will probably sell it then after too )..
so I did a few little changes so I'm curious to see if it will have helped or hurt my mileage. Last time I allllllllllmost made it complete way there on 1x tank of gas alllllllllmost.
also how massively I ended up porting this intake an ic horn I'm selling , my port job puts sneedspeeds port job TO SHAME !!! So soon as I can pop off my intake Manifold I WIILL REPORT the inside , again , and open it up as much ,maybe more than I did this one I pictured below ( I listed the parts package in forsale section)
I ALSO came to an agreement and deal on a MUCH better , what I WILL REFER TO AS the unicorn of intercoolers. I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to purchasing it , just need to save up abit more..lol so go buy my intake stuff !
anyways , ille report back in a few days once I'm home how the car drove again this trip. I changed out my throttlebody from 3in to the dinan I also installed a fully ported ic horn , put on a 2.5in to 3in intake instead of a full 3in intake as well as my coolerworx shifter , not that makes a big change BUT it sure does quicken up my shifts even just normal driving my shift times cut in half atleast. So those little changes abd maybe a tailwind I might make it all the way there with 1x tank of gas.

Sorry dude. Hopefully it comes and goes quickly. Definitely a spike within my friends, despite having no interaction with any of them. My wife and I got it Tuesday coming back from Ireland. Other friends got it in Colorado, positive on Tuesday. Other friends positive Wednesday. Still more on Thursday. And we've all made it 2+ years thus far without a case.
I'm past the aches/tiredness so I'm using the quarantine time to do some detailing. Still haven't hit a cars and coffee this year.....I guess I'm waiting another month.

well not that one buuuuut it's like my same intercooler BUT it has a liquid cooling system and pumps to keep it cool..
sooooo throw some ice water in that system , get my meth setup and GOD I'd love to hit a track day event and really put my car to the test and see how it truly performs. Though im a novice driver i learn very fast behind the wheel so I'd even let someone rip my car around the course so I could see and hear my car in action and see it's potential...I know it won't be anything spectacular but I have been putting this car together to do JUST that.
