In the meantime I got better parts to replace some stuff under the hood.. screaming demon coil , 10mm dragonfire wires and brisk plugs to replace my vms coil 7.5mm msd wires and ngk plugs .421 header and wrapped it to replace my typical 4to1 wrapped header. 170 amp alternator and a new battery to swap out the original 2004 ones. Got a brand new Tbody and massively ported it ( either its going to help a tiny bit or my idle may dance around , we will see but this isn't my 1st porting). New oversized intercooler just like my old one I have BUT much cleaner AND it has raised edges so the boots fit MUUUUUUCH more snug and got new alta boots for it. New 3bar performance tmap and another new map. New oem NTK 02 sensor. It's getting the windshield replaced too so I got replacement side sills and wrapped them in carbon fiber wrap of course. I also acquired an underbody battery tray cover that's going to look siiiiiiiiiiick with all my red suspension components. And I also came across an alta 19mm adjustable rear swaybar but I got adjustable everything else and love how my car handles asis so I'm parting with that ( sakes pending already)...
bought a schwaben scanner off a fellow member too and got am obd2 splitter cable so I can run my gages and scan my ecu ect without having to uplug anything.
I also got 2x of those ebay washerfluid kits to rig up as intercooler sprayers..heehe
aaaaaaaaaaand I also bought a hellahorn becuase one of my stock horns was fried and I never ended up hooking it back up after I wired them to the aftermarket wheel so this hellahorn will be going in in its place.. and im currently debating on which set of performance tires to get either some federals or nittos , idk yet I'm gonna to be researching them better and asking around about them..
I also have on the way a launch controller box , shifter extender and new shift **** and new shift boot , and a 15row remote oil cooler kit with an auxiliary fan that's pretty sweeeeeet.
hooooopefully I have Troll back in a week and then I can start swapping these parts on and sell off the old ones.

I have a few thoughts.

With 7 coats of clear you may be able to wet sand and buff the runs instead of respraying the whole car. Love the color though.

Look into the BMW throttle body from the bone yard. I believe ND has one on his car or was looking to into it at least. Maybe he'll chime in.

I've noticed several posts about the primer pic. This IS "project rice" and you can't get much more Honda speed racer than a good ole rattle can primer paint job 🤣🤣

For tires it's hard to beat Federals for the price. Especially if you like to burn them. Nittos are probably better performance depending on which model tire your looking at for the two brands. I have 595's on the wife's mustang and for the price I couldn't be happier.

I know the screaming demon isnot as reliable but BUT it is the strongest coil available for our engine( I found it to be the case now on a few engines I've used this brand on now) as it runs the same constant output buuuut has a slightly higher peak output.. and im changing out my msd wires for the thickest insulation wires I could find that offered the yet the least amount of resistance... then with the brisk plugs, those were kind of a gamble...I'm currently running ngk's BKR7EQUP which are very similar design as the brisk plugs as they're both gapless 4x prong kinda plugs I just figured I'd give them a try because awhile ago I had went against the grain too and put e3 plugs in my modded lt1 camaro I had n it absolutely LOVED THEM . Lol I know I know , dumb thinking but I read and researched these brisk plugs n they seem like they could be pretty good IN theory they do , lol so I guess we will find out soon enough..

This should be the direct link to post #130 > https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ml#post4579402

[edit]
I used the NGK BKR7E instead of the 7EQUP, simply because they are cheaper. With the 17% pulley I switched over to the NGK BCR8ES, a popular choice.

You will enjoy this new combo. I agree with Akumazeto that you should run it as it is and not port it. If you do decide to do it I would talk to Mike at Thumper about it. He might give you a screaming deal on a little touch up.

Hey Adam. Bill in Spokane here. You should think about buying my AIM MXS Strada 1.2 Digital Dash Street Icons version to finalize that fantastic build. It is new in the box and I was going to install it in mine but I’m thinking of selling my car.
I have the AIM for sale in the classifieds here.
Glad the head worked so well.

Few more goodies came which were the last of my stuff until I get the GEN 2 SPRINTEX KIT in a few weeks.. I also ported the heck out my sneed4speed manifold too. Got a cool mood lighting kit to see how it works out n looks. A shifter **** and extender to try n make it easier to reach when I shift , ss lines n new fluid , and fun buttons to activate my ic sprayers I will be making and some new fender flares as my old ones bit the dust trying to remove them and I didn't feel like trying to fix the broken clips.

Does that switch panel work with the factory steering wheel? My long term plans include giggle juice and that would be a sweet wat to activate it!

no it only works with 6bolt aftermarket steering wheels though you may be able to install in behind the wheel wedged between it and the colum possibly..

While the cars clear n paint finishes curing ( went very thick ) I been starting to caaaaaarefully put on my new parts. The car will still need a cut , buff n polish..
I started cleaning up under my engine bay. I got in the new brisk sparkplugs, screaming demon coilpack, and the dragonfire wires. I also put in the new map sensor and tmap sensor as well as a new 02 sensor ( all oem ). I also put on the larger throttlebody and I had to hollow out the intake by cutting out 2x plys just like I had to do to make it fit my enclosed filter. The filter and throttlebody are both bout 70mm and the intake was made to fit the puny stock throttlebody. I then rerouted the vacuum lines by using a simple T and a foots worth of extra tubing. Then to correct the intake issue I contacted a company on ebay that sells a bunch of silicone intakes and coolant hoses for multiple different vehicles, I actually got my coolant hoses through them anyways I messaged them and asked if they could make me a full 3inch intake which they gladly said " yes " to. So when I get that ille swap out my hacked up one I have in since it's actually a smaller diameter completely. I also wired in a new map sensor plug . This should all compliment the SneedSpeed intake manifold which then it will ALL compliment the gen2 sprintex even more..

Wellllllll 3in tbody FAIL !!!!!!!! atleast on my setup it lost so much tq down low the bit it gained up top was not worth it. I could barely squak the tires going into 2nd , o well. So I put the stock tbody back on . I then put on my sneedspeed manifold and fixed the vacuum line routing mess I had and cleaned out my fuel injectors.. I didn't even remove the sc lol I just backed all the bolts out a bit so I could move it forward about 1/4in so that the left tab on the stock manifold would clear the intercooler horn base and slide off. I then grinded off the tab then on the sneedspeed manifold so encase I need to service it or something I can easily remove it.
also check out my intercooler, knowtice I had them purposely make me one with the tabs backwards? Now I can easily mount the intercooler sprayers riiiiiiite onto those for perfect aim of spray then. I also had a company make me a full 3in intake which I will still use as my filter is 3in and maybe one I get on my better headers n sprintex then maybe a 3in tbody miiiiiiight be beneficial.
anyways I took it for a little rest drive and I am ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED with this manifold. Instant in the pants feel gain. There's absolutely no oooooo drop off on power all the way to fricken 7500 rpm..lol this little suckeres sucking well now . It's all around smoother too and omg it actually made the engine sound beefier too. I also put on my new wheel and rear view mirror rain guards.
put on my battery tray under cover too. Pita !!!!! not made for aftermarket exhaust I'm sure but I willed it on.
If my engine continues making power to say 8000-8500 rpm would I be safe raising my rev limiter then and trying higher rpms out ? I got big valve head , ns1 cam all other mods but stock crank and 17%pulley on my stock sc.. what would be the weak point I'd have to worry about turning those amount of rpms ?

8500 rpm is a lot. I'd be worried first if your valvetrain can handle it and secondly if your rotating assembly can. The second motor in my wife's mustang started floating a brand new spec'd for the cam valvetrain at just over 7000 rpm. It wasn't that radical of a cam either. I switched to a Jesel shaft rocker setup with better springs and got her over 8000 rpm then split the block...as in the block cracked diagonally across the valley. It ran like a bat out of hell up til that point though. Obviously they are two very different motors but the concepts aren't. You'd definitely need it dialed in spot on. I bet it'd sound wicked though if it holds together! Food for thought, I think Sneed either does or used to build a motor rated at 9000 rpm and 600 hp iirc. And for what you got that isn't a terrible price either. If my pockets had no bottom it'd be in my car already with a big shiny snail hanging off the back...

Yeah... this isn't a VTEC engine... You can't just raise the rpm limiter as you want without making sure parts can handle it. Once valves starts floating, you're a valve retainer away from destroying your engine...

That valve train is not going to stay together at 8,500. I would also worry about the bottom-end unless you have a fresh rebuild with forged internals.

Wired in and relocated my obd2 y splitter and put on a different style shift ****. I also mounted the ic cooler nozzles and plumbed the line half way to the trunk then ran out of line , lol so I need more to finish it. I also am installing the trigger under my gas pedal so anything over 3/4 throttle it will spray away. The cooler has been an easy strait forward install thankfully. So day or two ille mount the switch , finish running the lines and mount the reservoir.
IM FINALLY SAPOSE SAPOSE TO GET MY NEW WINDSHIELD TOMORROW TOO !!!! this will be this cars 2nd one since me owning it , this time unfortunately from damn vandalism. 😒 but life goes on and Troll thrives !
O yea , I ordered side decals and ones for my spoiler I think are gonna look real nice , I'm considering hood stripes idk yet though..

Been busy AF .. I relined the trim instead of a flat black blackout tape I used a carbon fiber looking tape which looks much nicer, got in my new windshield and had to rig in the lower trim but thankfully it went in flush all the way around and sealed..I was going to cut the bumper support to fit the oilcooler behind it but LOLOLOL my ac condenser has always been slightly bent so I was able to actually perfectly fit the oilcooler infront of it so it gets direct air through the lower grill since I can't fit it anywhere else that's beneficial and use the cooling fan then...
I been cleaning up over spray and putting on the trim perfect and fixing little cracks and broken tabs behind the bumper and stuff..
I also got my custom 3in intake and it matches my car almost perfect. Its way larger than even the aftermarket tube I widened already.. I order the sprintex in 3days !!!

Man I like that beltline tape! I've been contemplating blacking out all the chrome on mine, I even bought a couple cans of Rust-Oleum Peel Coat in gloss black to see how it'll look.

And I'm pretty sure I have the same oil cooler on my wife's mustang. Except we're using it for a transmission fluid cooler on her car. Either way it works VERY well.
