Got my VIN two days ago, I'm at stauts 150. You appear to be a "193" status, almost home - good luck.

Hi JFeinstein
I received my vin number when I hit status 150 (scheduled for production)

If the cargo site shows received a the terminal, you are there and waiting for a ship. MINIUSA systems seem to be a bit behind the times. I am already on a ship on the way to CA, but MINIUSA shows status 194,loaded on a ship, but can't tell me the ship yet.

Have a great Holiday!

HI Cuny
You are always welcome in the January Club!!
Better be up front with your employer. Going to look kinda funny if you call in sick, and show up in your mini. Of course, you could always call it "temporary mininsanity"!!

at least half of us know the pain we feel waiting for our mini's. surely there is some name for this kind of sickness. mini cooper adiction known to make you crazy to have one. once you get one you can only get rid of the urge by driving twisty roads or tight reverse camber turns to unload your blood from your brain cells. as you can see im really sick. my car is at the dealer and i still have to go to work and im afraid i might even have a mini breakdown. thanks for the help getting trough this my mini friends. brg mcs

My Mini is now booked on the Hercules. It was booked on the Takamine last week, but it wasn't loaded on the boat so I hope this time it's at the front of the line. According to the Hercules' voyage itinerary, it still hasn't arrived in Germany like it was supposed to on Dec. 24th, so I hope it doesn't get to Southampton, and subsequently, the U.S. late. I just want to say what a great source of information this message board has been, and the support and encouragement from all of you has made the experience a very positive one. Thank you.

Glad to see those that were not loaded on the Takamine have a new boat. The toughest thing about buying the car is indeed the wait. Especially for a person like me who wants everything NOW!!

Hey ChiliLover and UncleAKA, maybe we should start a new thread. We could call it "When will they load my MINI" I am waiting on the Hercules also. I was also booked on the TRICOLOR(sunk), TERRIER and TAKAMINE and never loaded.

Lets hope the fourth time is a charm.

The Hercules can handle 6000 cars. I just hope I am one of them.

Just angry.....I really appears that no one cares how the MINI's get loaded or if they even get loaded. I do have the phone numbers of the people that do the loading and if I do not get loaded on the Hercules that is my next step.

For those on the Hercules here is the web site with the ships picture and stats:

Hey guys,
I was just wondering, does anyone know where to find out about MINIs being shipped to Europe? I see taht most of you are waiting for ships, I thought maybe someone came accross some info? I got my VIN 10 days ago, I was told that after my ckeck was processed then I would have to wait 10 days to receive my beaut-ti-ful car (can't wait!

Hi Cami
Wow, that is a good question. It is interesting that you have to wait for your check to clear before the car is given to you. Here in the states, you give them a check and drive away!!

hmm, will have to do some research and see about European shipments

I called ASKMINI today, and their system finally shows my mini assigned and loaded on the Takamine. Of course I already knew that from the cargo site.
They did confirm the Takamine is scheduled to arrive on January 11th, with the VPC scheduled to receive the car on the 12th. the helpful person at ASKMINI did say that if all goes well, my mini could arrive to the dealer in Irvine the within a week of receipt of the VPC.
Looks like we are moving right along. Now.... if the owners lounge would only update to "enroute"...

Well, the owners lounge updated today as EnRoute!! Now, if it would only update with the ETA of delivery....
Maybe other "Takaminers" have been updated as well!

I noticed that the OL didn't update my estimated delivery date until 2 days AFTER arriving at the VPC. I've read that this is common, and really the best source of information once your MINI hits the shores is your dealer. From what I can tell, they are plugged right into both the shipping and distribution channels directly, and have the latest information.

Hi Barky
Glad to see you back!!! You probably have lots to catch up on!! You sure are getting close!!

DB.. Thanks for the info. AskMINI told me that I am due at the VPC on the 12th so maybe by the 14th, I will have some more info. Back to being patient...(me? patient? shhh, don't tell my wife!)

barky-
good info on the Hual Triton - my baby was on that ship also and got off in Port Bayonne (NY for all intents and purposes). My estimated delivery date is still 12/31, but I think that's wishful thinking - I still show as En Route in the OL.

...would love to pick mine up before going back to work on the 13th....
PS

looks like the club is doing well on the challenge set by Rygold and reaching 7,000 views. We have made it to over 4,000 and we still have all of January to go!!

Woohoo! 4000 hits! When I logged off last night we had about 50 to go.

Ok, so I'm getting a little worried. As per my post yesterday, my MINI was supposed to come off the boat in NY on 12/26. The OL seems to get updated on Saturday, between 10pm and midnight (Central time), so I was hoping to see it go from "en route" to "at distribution center" last night. But, no, it still is "en route". And of course the Wilhelmsen site hasn't been updated, either. Hrumph. Guess I'll have to call in the morning to see what's up.

The wait is agonizing!

Well my floormats arrived from Moss Mini today, but still no MCS to put them in!

ASK MINI tells me today my MCS is still awaiting transport assignment at Southhampton. It's been there since Dec 20. Is this normal, or have the holidays just slowed things down?

Can't sleep, gotta motor!

PS Moss Mini service is excellent! They only charged me $1 for shipping, apparently because the floor mats were backordered for a couple of days.
