HELP. did I blow my supercharger?

Did I blow my supercharger?

Heavy grinding noise but it's very intermittent. Comes and goes as I drive. A friend thought it also could be the water pump. Any help is greatly appreciated

Too hard to diagnose via an IG video, could be the supercharger but it could also be the alternator or ac compressor. You will need to manually inspect everything in the belt drive system for the point of failure.

Can you feel the grinding in the outlet horn of the SC? Usually with SC failures you can feel and hear the grinding at the horn.

We have them on hand and ready to ship, as well as all the recommended odds and ends to do the job. Let us know how we can help.

If you haven't done a reduction pulley yet, it would be a great time to get that done, at least make light of the situation.

Appreciate it. Unfortunately I don't have that kind of money for your price even though I'm sure the quality beats everywhere else I would go. I'm gonna end up having to go ebay

If the car being down for a few weeks isn't a problem, we could have your core rebuilt and save you a few hundred dollars, but not everyone can be without a car for that long.

Or if you send us the core first the core would be waved if the core is in rebuildable shape.

Either way, let us know if there is anything we can help with during the process as we have everything in stock that you will need to tackle any part of this job.

Right now I have a budget of 5 or 600 bucks. I own another car, and this is one of the many things that have turned this mini into a money pit. So I'm looking at a few options on ebay and part yards, and then selling this thing. I'll own another mini one day. When I do, we'll do business

Give www.car-part.com a look over for a used unit. I've purchased a lot of used components over the years from that site. Everything from engines, transmissions, p/s racks, you name it.

Sometimes they show up in the marketplace :

make sure you get low miles and make sure it has all the oil if you do go to the junk yards.

These guys rebuilt mine 2 years ago for $800 if you need another option. Turnaround was pretty fast too, just a few days.

If you can wait till Friday, I'll know if I will have one for sale. It will be off of a 2005 with the Teflon coated blades. If it works out, it will have new oil and seals installed ready for install before shipping. Feel free to PM me.
