I got my first mini recently....this is random but I'm curious if anyone else on here has the same dash as I do. It looks like a swirled aluminum. I tried to search to see what the name of it's called with no luck.

 

Nice pic while driving... It's called the "alloy patina" dash. There were also silver and anthracite ones, too, which match the other trim pieces on the car. 02-04 MINIs had a 5 piece dash panel, and 05-06 had 3 piece dash panels.

Yeah, it's called alloy patina. I'm pretty sure that was the base trim style for the S, so they're very common. I have it too.

 

I noticed a few other colors on ecstuning.com's website, including a wood grain, a blue, and a red all matching the MINI body colors. There is an OEM JCW leather option and a carbon fiber one, too, I believe.
I had a set of OEM Piano Black, which had some dots etched onto the far right panel.
Prior to getting those, I had mine painted black and added a UK flag from a Triumph motorcycle.
I had my spouse's MINI painted a pearl white, along with the down tubes, which really brightened up the interior.

 

I recognize‎ those highway signs. Good to see another Central IL MINI driver!

 

Hiii! I'm surprised to see someone else from the area. Mini's seem pretty sparse around here. I just got mine a few weeks ago. I had to trek to Chicago to get it. One owner 05 Mini S JCW!

 

There are only a handful here. I'm in Bloomington. I think its because there's no MINI dealer, so also hard to find used ones. I got mine from a guy outside of StL. Watch for a British Racing Green '06 MCS and wave!

Awesome! I won't have my mini back for 6-8 weeks :( It's at the dealership having some body panels replaced per the rust warranty.
