R50/53 Can't Wait for September Club--time to check in!!!
I'll take the lead on this one...the October Club is already organized but we September folks have been dormant.
My MCS (DS/Bl) started production last week and should be finished by August 8. Then it starts that long trip to Philadelphia. Should be in time for me to enjoy the entire fall. And it certainly gets beautiful throughout Pennsylvania.
Who else is out there???
p.s. Many thanks to mark, L, Clo, Toasty, DiD and all the rest of you who provided great advice during the ordering process..

i think i'm now in the Sept. club. MINI has the approx. build date of 8/8.... so that would place it in my hands... early sept.? i swear i can't keep any of these dates straight... when this does what and when. All i know is ITYBTY has entered the "scheduled for production" stage and i am happy!
I will join your club. heck your production date as well. my vin TD73115. how far off are you. mine has to make it to Utah. I hope it really does show up in sept as here in lovely CA car tax will tripple on Oct 1. Yes I live in ca but ordered in Utah as it cut my wait from over a year to 4 months for msrp. as long as I get it in Ca smogged and pay my taxes on it before October will save me 1500 bucks. Oh please I hope I hope. I know our cars will be done next week. I hope they get on a ship quick as I have read it can be 1 to 2 months shipping on the west coast.
Dark silver S/ black top, premium package, fog lights and Xenon lights. cloth int with anthrasite dash.

Nightowl---my production date is also listed 8/8. I called 866-askmini yesterday and they said that was when it should be FINISHED. It started last week. They ran me through the steps from this point and guessed it would hit the dealer around September 15. Of course, these are only estimates.
The other threads have info on more precise tracking once the cars are out of production. I'll post a link in a couple of weeks.
Sorry I can't help you on roof decals. I'm more of a purist...

GPW--sounds like our cars are similar. I ditched the 17" wheels and DSC after reading much advice. Kept the premium package MFSW, Cold, Xenon, Fogs and H/K. DS/Bl MCS also with space cloth and anthracite...

*happy dance* thanx for the info.

My estimated production date is also 8/8. Mid September delivery date for me too, here in Illinois. I hope I can survive the wait.

Welcome to MCO, jimgerm.
What color/model are you waiting for? Have you been monitoring MCO since you placed the order?

Hello everyone!
I've been lurking here for about 4 months and I finally decided to join and post.
I ordered my MCS on 2nd May and was given a due date of 15th September. Not sure when it is being built though.
Ordered CR/CR with white viper stripes, visibility pack & anthracite trim.
I was incredibly excited when I first ordered it, imagining myself driving it, practicing waving at other MINI drivers - in fact, thinking about it constantly. But the wait is just too much now!
I planned to finance the car from the profits of selling my house - which still remains unsold after 5 months on the market. I am starting to panic at the thought of my lovely car sitting at the dealers until the house sells.
Anyone want to buy a house in Tunbridge Wells?

Welcome to MCO, kirsty!
What dealer did you buy from? I would suggest you call and ask if there is a production number. Once you have it you can get into the MINIUSA.com owners lounge. Have you tried that yet?

I'm in the UK. Although I had been lurking here for a while before I ordered, it quickly became apparent after I had ordered that if I had gone elsewhere my waiting time would've been much much shorter. It has been frustrating to hear of others ordering their MINIs in June and getting them already.
But on the other hand, if it had come already I still wouldn't be able to pay for it, and it would still be grinning at me from the showroom window, so I suppose that's a blessing in disguise!
I'll see if I can get the production number. Didn't think of trying MINIUSA on this side of the pond.
Cheers!

My estimated production date is 8/22 and my dealer (in St. Louis) said he expected to see it around the third week of September. Anyone have any secrets for making time pass more quickly. I'm thinking of some kind of self-induced coma for several weeks...

Welcome to MCO, fryedaniel. Spend time on MCO. It really helps.
You can also track your MINI. I just got off the phone. Called 866-ASKMINI. They said that today my MCS is being painted. Still on track for a 8/8 completions. That's good news.
I asked if there is anywhere to get that specific information online; he said "no, but call back any day you want; we'll be glad to update you." Nice.

Now that August 8 is approaching, many of those waiting for September will be out of production and heading to the US. Here is how you track the shipment,
With thanks to cgehring (yes, I copied it from another thread, but updated the links)...
OK, Here is Everything You Need to find your ship...
1. Go to the MiniUSA Owners Loung and get the VIN of your vehicle:
MINIUSA Owner's Lounge
2. Go to the Tracking Page and click 'Auto' and enter the entire VIN (it no longer works if you just use the last seven digits). If you are booked on a ship you will see the booking and also your ship name. Record the ship name.
<A HREF="http://213.31.205.37/GLWebApps.AppTracking" TARGET="_blank">Cargo Tracking
</A>
3. Go to the US Coast Guard's Site and enter the Vessel Name and click search to search for the call sign. Record the Call Sign. For Example, the call sign for the Don Juan is SGIX. There may be several ships with the same name, but only one in service as a "Freight Ship"
US Coast Guard Current Vessel Search
4. Go to the accuweather.com web site and enter the Ship's call sign under 'Buoy/Ship Observations' and click 'Decoded' This will get you the LAT and LON coordinates.

cgehring refers folks in the same thread to a site for mapping lon's and lat's. Here is their homepage...

Enjoy!

The status of my Mini just changed to Awaiting Transport. I think now the waiting is going to get even worse knowing that it is acutaly made. I went to the cargo tracking web page of the shipping company but there is no record for my Mini. I entered the last seven numbers of the VIN and the entire thing. I wish they could just "beam" it over to my dealer. I am not very good at waiting for things.
Wow--that's great. Your car must have been at the head of the line for the 8/8 production date. Mine was showing as being painted on Friday...with a week left to completion.
I understand that it could be a week or two until it shows up on a ship.

I am booked on Prestige Ace. scheduled to leave port on Monday the 11th. but it states that my car is scanned at terminal so even though the mini site is not updated the cargo company has my car scanned so it must be done.
to bad I have to wait uver a month for it to get here.
