i know this has happened many times, but heres the deal with mine.

it locks by the remote, when i go to unlock, i HEAR the motor/mecahnism unlocking, but i still have to put my key in to unlock it physically.

so the motor sounds like its working, is there any thing i can do about this?

im still unlocking mine by the key...pissing me off, i guess ill just order the mechanism one day. let me know what the deal is with yours if you do take it to the dealer.

no. i guess it just needs a new lock mech.

 

i had the same problem and eventually it would neither lock or unlock on the drivers door. it turned out to be a bad actuator on mine. ( why it would lock for a while but not unlock i will never know)

 

I had the same problem with my 02 MCS the whole actuator unit has to be replaced, it's the same unit for the lock/unlock. Some have done it themselves, but's it's a PITA to get at, I had the dealer install mine, sorry I can't remember how much. Good luck hope this helps
