2004 Door on a 2003?

Hey guys, new here and I just picked up a 2003 MCS. I have just noticed under the drivers door, it's rusted in the seam pretty bad. Couldn't notice it until under the door. Anyways, I found a 2004 MC door, same color for a good deal. Just wondering if the door will work on mine? My build date is 10/02. And I believe the new door is 06/04. I know there may be some inner parts that have changed, but I'm wondering mainly about the skin? Thanks guys

I believe there was a crash standard update on the door also the dynomatt stuff. 7/2004+ it changed to the newer part number 41517202911 and 41517202912 are the R50 R52 R53 part number now.

Thanks. I just got the vin from the newer door. The build date is 01.02.2004. So I'm assuming it should work?

Welcome to NAM. I think you might be fine. Looking on RealOEM, the part numbers seem to be the same. Not 100% about the rest of the door components though.

The part number for the door on your 10/02 is 41517202911 according to RealOEM:

Part number for 06/04 is 41517202911 (same part number):

You are welcome. I have aligned the doors before. Tighten then loosen and adjust. Two pivot points hinges and the striker.

Will do. Love this site. Used the instructions on here and changed the AC clutch coil. Nice cold AC now. Great tips.
