Ugh.

My Estimated Production Date was first 9/12/2003. A couple weeks ago it changed to 9/5/2003 . Now it's back to 9/12/2003 .

hey guys; expect about a month between your production date (which is when your MINI is scheduled to finish production) to keys-in-hand.

My example: Mr.Motor had a 3/14 build date. The car was done (status 155) on 3/09. The car was at my dealership on 4/07. I was lucky and caught the train from the factory to the port just as the car was finished, most have to wait a few days. I also breezed through the VPC slightly quicker than average. It's just a matter of luck, really.

Cheers,
Ryan

Well if it really IS only a month, maybe I'll get it by my birthday! (10/16!)

I'll let you know when I find out more. My MA hasn't yet confirmed all of the 2004 specs with me yet so my order isn't finalized...YET!

I just got off the phone with my dealer and was told that my 9/5 (Week #36) production date '04 MCS might actually be produced earlier during week #35 as MINI is eager to start ramping up the 2004 production. So this is good news for all of us, members of the "October graduating class"...there is a possibility we might get our MINIs even sooner than we originally taught!

Welcome to the October club. I'm also from Washington state and have the 9/12 production date. I think I'm sticking to the October club no matter what........no since going backwards I figure! We are actually getting the car from the Portland dealer but I'm sure our delivery times should be similar. Hopefully we'll both be motoring Washington by late October.

I have a production number but no date yet. My dealer said to expect the car in early october. Should I be worried because I have no production date yet? When will I get it, how will I get it? When I check the owner's lounge every day my car is still 'on-order'. Any insight is appreciated. My birthday is 10/21 and man o man would it be nice to get my ride in time.

Also how do I suscribe or whatever to this thread so I can find it when I come back later?

sbgobig,

You should have an estimated production date. When you're tracking your mini in the owner's lounge, the last option in the list is "Review Order Detail". Click this and some info should come for the estimated production date.

If it's not there, I'd start to panic.

Woohoo! Got my production number and a production date of 9-12. So maybe I can just barely beat the registration fee increase on 10-16...

I ordered my MC in mid June (Fathers Day actually). I haven't received my production number from Northwest MINI yet. Anyone else from the Seattle area? if so, how long did it take to get your MINI?

Welcome to MCO SpeedRacer, and also welcome to The October Club

I don't have my production number yet either, as my order hasn't been sent to the factory yet....

....this is a good thing, it turns out. I saw a Black/White MCS for the first time today (I have only seen all-black MCS's in the past, and they look good!), and I was not impressed with how it looked It wasn't the knock-my-socks-off like my last Indi Blue/White, so I'm thinking I have to change my color to what Mr.Motor was; IB/W and white S-lites (just like Russell88, actually!)

[gears are turning..]

Ryan,

Come back to the Dark Side! Indi Blue/White/White/White that is...

You were the reason why I choose my color combo while on the fence with other colors. When you e-mailed me Mr. Motor's pix with the 5mm H&R spacers, I thought it was the most low key aggressive combo out there. Done.

Then.....your new 2004 color specs confused me. But I kept silent.

Come on back, the legacy can live on...

well, I did it, I switched to the dark side (according to Russell, anyway )

After thinking about the B/W/S I saw yesterday, I was wondering if the white wheels would've made the difference for me, but my answer was no. The car was simply "too black" for me. I know, sounds dumb, but it was more of a black hole, and not a reflective black that I wanted. I'm just glad I saw one before mine arrived and I would think "uh-oh, what've I done!" Perhaps the black was my rebound color

I think the lesson out of this is: get the color your heart wants!

Motoring-On, soon,
Ryan

Speedracer,

I gave NW MINI my deposit May 12th and just got my production number. You may still have to wait...

From the start, the IB/W seemed to be speaking to me. There wasn't really any question that if I were to buy a cooper, that would be the color. I briefly considered BRG/W or all black, but my gut told me IB/W.

The funny thing is, I seem to be stressing most on the wheels. I chose silver over white because I read a lot about white being hard to keep clean. I chose the 8-spoke standard over the holeys, but am now reconsidering. Frankly, either of the standard 15" wheels that come on the MC look dull to me now compared to the ones on the MCS.

Blah! Is this how aftermarket spending sprees start?

OlyMini,
Who did you deal with at NW MINI? I dealt with Jeremy and the poor guy didn't tell me anything I didn't already know about these cars. Funny at the time.

I've been dealing with Rachel. She is very nice and great to work with, but yes, she OBVIOUSLY does not read up on the MINI at sites like this!

I've been able to ask/tell her quite a few things she was not aware of! Seems a shame that MINIUSA wold not keep their MA's informed!

raj,

Thanks so much for the 411. My production date is 9/19, any idea when it might make it too the states? I have to plan on an extra 2 weeks to have it shipped to me in SoCal from Texas, I really hope I'm in the right club, please don't make me join the can't wait for Nov. club.

I want to get everyone's opinion. I ordered a CR/W with red tartan cloth seats, but am having second thoughts. I REALLY like the look of the IB/W MINIS, and I don't see nearly as many as the reds. I really wanted something a little different than the local MINIS. Any thoughts as to which is better?

You will pay $400 extra for the IB because it is a metallic color, meanwhile the CR is a solid color and carries no extra charge.I see quite a bit of IB in my neck of the woods and it is a nice color but gets a bit tiring. I prefer CR but that's just me.

You can't get Tartan cloth seats if you go IB either.
