Just called 1-866 -ASKMINI, and my car is at the body shop phase,and it will be finished by this friday.

Hey Ryan, did you figure out what my VIN with TJ means? You are the virtual MA! :smile:

 

I called and MINIUSA said I was on my way to the dock, however when I looked up my car on the WW website I'm listed as "booked/received at terminal" as of 8/30/03. I'm listed w/both the Tokyo Hwy and the Jingu Maru. The Tokyo Hwy has already set sail, so I'm assuming I will be on the Jingu Maru?

 

Just called ASK-MINI, and found out that my car is now in the paint shop!!!
He said it went to 151 yesterday, and is 152 right now.

So everyone with a VIN in front of mine should be at 152 or higher, and MINISPIDER, your car should go to status 152 in the next few hours if not minutes!

 

Details on my currently un-named Mini:
* Chili Red with Black Roof - I originally ordered the Pure Gold, but when I kept checking dealership to see other cars come in I would waver about how much I liked it. The Chili Red always looked good, and I was able to get the color changed just a day or so after entering status 112.
* Premium Package - I know I'm gonna love that Sunroof! I chose the Sport Steering wheel.
* Chrome bumper inserts - Just makes the car look happier.
* Kaleido Panther Black Cloth Sports Seats with Black Interior and Antracite Trim - I just don't like how hot leather seats get, or the fact that they cost so much extra!

I want to get to know my car a little before I decide on a name. When I do decide I'll be sure to keep you posted. :smile:

 

Called MINIUSA just a sec ago... production started yesterday on the car... no vin yet.. but I'm at 150!!!!

I just called too, I'm still "at the beginning stages of production" 150. But, I'm SOOOO happy for you 9/5 guys because the quicker they get you completed the sooner they can work on my MINI!

I'm with you MMMini, I'd like to get to know my car before I name it.

 

Another day... another page... another look at the owners lounge... another day with no production date! :???:

 

Is it better to call Ask-Mini than to check the Owners Lounge, seems most people here call, when checking online is easier...

I called, in order to answer my oqn question, and ASK-MINI has me as status 112, scheduled for production!

est. week ending 26th!

I called they told me I'm at 150.... the web site has no VIN and says "On Order" (111 or 112).... so I'd say if you really want to know where its at today then call...

 

I'm status 150 too!! called yesterday and they said it was started production, no VIN.

 

I'm so excited, I went out and bought a digital camera just so I can take pictures. Am I crazy or what?

owners lounge is delayed by several days. Calling ASK-MINI and speaking to a representative is the only way to get the most up-to-date info.

 

Called ASK-MINI moments ago, my status now 150 but no vin # yet. Still 9/12 EPD. Be still my foolish heart!!!!

OK, this is my first post. I am new to this so bear with me. I checked my status on-line and I am "scheduled for production". They do have my VIN under the production status and my EDP is 9/12. Does that mean it will be done on the 12th? I have been waiting since April 15th... very patiently.

I can hardly stand it....

 

OK, I couldn't stand it any longer, so I just callled ASK-MINI.
A very pleaseant woman told me that I'm still "scheduled for production," but she was able to give me my VIN#: TD74877. She said it will be completed by the estimated production date of 9/12.
This is exciting!

 

Ok, here goes:

---> OlyMini; your guess is as good as mine and everyone elses; the VIN # "TJ" is a mystery. Seems, however, that TJ's are only Coopers, and I think they are all CVT's, but some CVT's are still TE's. That's what I know so far.

---> apexer, Welcome to the October Club! Tell us about your MINI, colors, upholstery, trim, options and accessories (if you're interested in me adding you to the webpage).

---> BigBlueOx, Welcome also! your 9/12 build date means your MCS will be finished on or before that date. Expect keys-in-hand about a month after your MINI hits status 155 (production complete)
