I entered my entire VIN number with all lower case letters (don't know if it makes a difference).

Just double checked the route for the BIJIN and it's making an additional stop in Baltimore, MD so it's arriving three days later than I thought in California October 1st.

Click on "Auto" and type in the full VIN number.

Maybe different ships and different destinations has our cars sorted differently at the terminal. I wish I knew how the shipping company's database was updated - if it is LIVE or updated on a certain interval. It shows my car was received at the terminal at 08:49. I assume that is local U.K. time this morning.

Hang in there, it will show up!

Sorry for the wait Cooper4us, was on the phone with Randy booking a slot for the pullley party.

I had to enter the full VIN. Go to http://www.wlna.com, and click on tracking on the top right of your screen. Go to track by cargo, auto, then put in your full VIN. I tried both all caps or all small letters, and both worked. Mixing caps and small letters did not work.
Note that the 9th digit in our VIN is a check digit, so it could be different for everyone. Cooper4us, is your 9th digit X as well?

(I'm using my VIN as an example)
Mine is WMWRE334X4TD74337
WMW - manufacturer
RE3 - model
3 - country code, in this case, USA
4 - dual de-powered airbag
X - check digit
4 - MY 2004
TD74337 - serial number

I think I got it right...... if I made a mistake let me know......
(I seem to recall there's a digit denoting the assembly plant as well.....)

I just checked my full VIN number in the Owner's Lounge and it is correct. My 9th digit is an "8".

I think it could be anything..... It is just a check digit, so it is used by computers to make sure all the other digits are entered correctly I think..... not exactly sure how it works.....

 

Where do you get your VIN? I'm a 9/19 and Owner's Lounge doesn't list it yet, do I need to call ASK-MINI and get it?

just called, went in production today. No Vin yet.
Hope next week will be better. they did mention that the website updates slower than phone, and phone does update through weekend. so might be tomorrom.

Hi All. First post to this site. My '04 IB/W MC has EPD of 9/19, and Owner's Lounge shows Scheduled for Production and VIN TC49112! How long will it take to get from Oxford to central California? :smile:

 

Welcome EDHMini!!! My understanding is that it's about a month from completion of assembly to keys in your hand. I'm 9/19 too, yet Owner's Lounge doesn't have my VIN yet....

 

I just checked my status in the Owner's lounge and it finally changed from On Order to Scheduled for production. I can't wait any longer.

Thrilhouse, I too have a 9/19 production but my VIN was there.

 

mine is a 9/19 too... no VIN yet... i'm dying here!

 

Fully loaded S PW/BT........Still on order 09/19........1st time in my life I'd wish time would move forward !!.....

The owners lounge is so far back in updating,that your car may be already in production....for example: mine still says "schedule for production"....meanwhile is already at the pier waiting to be loaded into the "JINGU MAURO",SEE POST ABOVE...so don't go crazy with the mini usa thing,they're wayyyyyyyy behind....

The Wallenius site still does not show my car as being booked!!!

I see people with VIN numbers far ahead of mine already booked, but my car does not show up...oh boy...I hope this is not the beginning of some ocean transit Soap Opera.....

 

Thanks for the info, Thrilhouse! My Owner's Lounge status changed and the VIN showed up last night sometime between 6 pm and 10 pm. I plan on calling ASKMINI first thing Monday morning to get the latest status info. We saw The Italian Job again this afternoon, and now I'm really stoked! Can't Wait for October...

WOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO, finally got my VIN today, it is TJ53575!!! Can't help but wonder how accurate my 9/19 build date, is it possible my baby is already on the assembly line?


Also, just reviewing other posts, mine is the first VIN I've seen with "TJ" instead of "TD"...does anyone else have TJ or am I a freak of nature?
