Cool spice thanks. Do you know if 2 devices can be connected via Bluetooth at the same time? One for telephone use, one for music?

I am unsure about two devices at once. I know with my 2008 with out nav you could have two phones in the system, but I don't think you could use them both at the same time. It was basically for if you had a business phone during the week and a personal one on the weekend you would not have to change the Bluetooth setup. I could be wrong, I never had two Bluetooth devices to try it with.

Is this universally true or only with particular phones? I tried to do this with my Nexus One and it didn't work unless I was just doing something wrong or not setting it up correctly.

Only one at a time. I have a personal phone and a work phone, and they're loaded so that the personal phone takes precedence if they both have BT turned on when I enter the car. (If you have this situation or something similar, bring it up when you pick up the car -- my MA made sure it was set the way I wanted it.)

So now that I have my car...finally...and LOVE it!!! I have an answer to my post for all who are interested. You CAN connect two bluetooth devices simultaneously. When you pair the second device, we'll say a second iPhone, you simply check the box that says stream audio in the connected screen. Your primary phone that is connected for telephone calls via bluetooth will still work, as your passenger or whomever can stream their own music from their iPod library. Their music is controlled from the iPhone directly and not through the iDrive joystick, you simply select their audio source from the multimedia options I believe. It's really cool.

Mini Connected Office

Has anyone heard whether other Office features such as email and text messaging will be available through the iPhone?

Am I missing something or is there an easy Speed Dial like feature? Like I want to hit the phone button then scroll through my favorites and hit dial. I don't want to fumble with the phone book. The best I can do now is hit my recent calls.

Can't you just make calls using the voice commands?

Hi Guys,

quick question.
Whenever I connect my ipod and play through mini connected,
i get stuck in one song.
How do I take off the "repeat" on the setting?

Thanks,

Have you checked the repeat setting on your iPod function on your iPhone? If I'm listening to tracks on my phone then plug it in to MINI connected it picks up where I left off including settings such as random.

Two MINI's and MINI Connected?

I wonder if anyone here has two MINI's, both with MINI Connected?

We're expecting our second one to arrive later this week, so I need to figure out how best to manage MINI Connected on both cars. My wife and I will both be driving both cars, and we each have iPhones.

Yes, I could (probably) figure this out myself, but if someone else already has, I'd be interested to hear about it.

Thanks.

Now I don't have my car yet, so I don't know how well this works, but there is supposed to be a way to program your key to your settings. So if you drive one car with your key it will automatically sync up with your phone and the same with your wife and her key. This is from the research I've done, but haven't been able to play with it yet. Hopefully in one more month!!

All you'll need to do is make sure to use the key fob to unlock the car when getting into it. That lets the computer know who user/driver is most current. You'll see it on radio presets right away. My wife likes rap, I'm more into pop, so I get really annoyed when I forget to use my key fob.

I don't have any hard facts on this. However I feel the sound is lacking over Bluetooth. I have an iPhone 4 and the hi-fi setup in the Mini. Satellite radio is phenomenal quality, plugging the iPhone cable into the USB jack also produces great quality. Over bluetooth.....could use some help. Again, nothing scientific here, just what my ears believe.

Stitcher Audio app integration coming soon!

I have never used it but I am excited that BMW is not slowing down on their supported apps for Mini Connected!
