Navigation & Audio Bluetooth compatibility list
Bluetooth seems to work fine for everyone, but charging seems to be spotty using the Y-Cable, even with newer versions of the cable. Not really phone related, but OS3.0 seems to have introduced some changes that cause issues for larger tagged music collections.
LG Env2 (VX9100) now works
I took my car in for some warranty work today and in the process they reprogrammed my car. When I got back in I had to re-pair my phone.... and .... voila... it now works perfectly, before it would only make calls, now it also downloads the phonebook etc. (finally).
So, if you have an LG Env2 (VX9100), run, don't walk to your nearest dealer and get your car re-programmed.
Mods, could you please update the matrix?
Jeff

I've also heard that re-flashes for the cars are VIN specific, so it'd also be good to play it safe just in case not everyone can get access to the same reprogramming you did.
How are you connecting the iPhone to your car? Using the USB port and Y-cable, the actual audio input should be through the AUX port. Can you adjust the volume on any other things connected through the AUX port?
LG enV Touch?
i apologize if this has been covered somewhere else in this thread, but i can't find it if it has... has anyone tested the enV touch (Verizon)? i don't see it on the list, though i assume it might have a lot of the problems other LGs have.
i bought the chocolate 3 and it does work, i'm just not keen on the phone otherwise. i thought i could live without the qwerty keyboard, but i miss it terribly. however, i do want a phone that syncs, too. i really like the LGs in general, but got pretty annoyed with the enV not syncing the phone book. (that's why when i got a new phone i got the chocolate 3.)
i'd consider going to verizon and seeing if they'll test it for me, but the last time i was there it was a mob scene... any help is appreciated.
thanks!

Samsung Gravity SGH-T459 works all the way around.
At first had a problem where it was unable to call out...kept hangin' up before it dialed the number...but did a repairing on it and it worked.

Almost everything is sorted by model number rather than name (or Find is your Friend), the Storm is line 35 in the spreadsheet; and it's completely compatible.

Not for me. The problem I have with it after a recent (late May)visit to the dealer and a computer refresh for the "window dipper" issue is that the phone book ALWAYS displays as "Last name/First name" regardless of the order of the phonebook in the Storm. Prior to the window fix it was fine, so I can only conclude that MINI included an undocumented change to the Bluetooth module
Yeah- but it does at least still work and seems to be limited to you particular case.
I just added a note with a link to your thread asking for feedback on it, hopefully this way it gets some exposure and we'll find out if someone else has the same issue.

Were you able to pair the phonebook too? I like being able to scroll through my numbers like I can on my Motorola!
Iphone 3GS works with wheel controls, display of music or calls made, etc. only problem is charging with orignial "Y" split cable. It gives a charging erro message and does not appear to be charging. No lightening bolt or plug display when attempting to charge through the USB. Any solutions other than a cig.plug adapter?

This solved the same problem I had for my Moto q9c. For those who can't find "disconnect cellular data".
1. Hit Settings first,
2. Hit Connections,
3. Wireless Manager,
4. Menu
5. Disconnect Cellular Data
Thanks!

Hi all, I just want to let everyone know about my wifes situation in her MCS with the Q9c. I've been following this thread for some time now but had not come across anyone mentioning this particular situation.
Anyway, when my wife would get in and start the car the BT would be detected and it would automatically go to an "in call" state that you could not "end". Ultimately (to get it working) we would soft reset the phone while the car was on and upon boot of windows mobile everything would be ok.
I dug and dug and dug through the Q menus and setting and at first found nothing. I chalked it up to the Q9c not being compatable. She was very dissappointed.
A few months past and I thought to myself that cant be. There has got to be something burries in the windows mobile, menus, registry... somewhere.
And sure enough there was. Right in front of my face but not so clear. Typical windows mobile. In the Advanced bluetooth settings there is an option to disconnect or disable the data connection. I did this and bang, everything works great. Contacts, Calls, etc.
sorry, I dont remeber the full file paths and menu names because I dont have the phone in front of me. I'll edit this post when I do.
Hope this helps.
Update:
the menu button in "Wireless Manager" has an option to "Disconnect Cellular Data"
It seems that the data connection of the phone is interfereing with the BT. Without a data connection active it works fine. As soon as you go to say internet explorer (data becomes active) the mini coop acts like it is in a phone call.
Im going to check out the moto Q boards to see if the is something I can do about this.

The New HTC Ozone and Bluetooth Compatibility
Has anyone tested the new HTC Ozone to see if it is fully compatible with an 08 Clubman bluetooth? Also does the Alias 2 work? Any feedback would be appreciated as I am about to upgrade my Verizon phone.
Samsung phones have been hit or miss- some don't work (particularly older phones), newer phones have been better in general, but not all of them work completely.
One nice thing about Verizon is that they are pretty good about letting you trade a phone in for another if there's problems- some Verizon stores have let people try phones out with their car before buying, but not all of them will do this.
Bluetooth iphone 3GS problems
In the last couple of days, my iphone 3GS has started dropping the bluetooth connection.
I can turn off the bluetooth, turn it back on and the phone reconnects, but when I try to sync the contacts it disconnects after a few minutes. The iphone still shows being connected to the mini, but the mini can't see the phone.
It won't even let me re-pair the phone unless I delete the existing phone.
I had the brake pads replaced 10 days ago and they reset the computer.
It worked for a while though, which is odd. SHould I start blaming the phone or the car?

Similar problems with iPhones in the past have been fixed by a full power-off reset of the iPhone, deleting the pairing in both the phone and in the Mini and re-pairing can help too, if you haven't tried that yet.
Also, how many contacts do you have entered? Odd problems are known to occur around 800-1000 contacts.

Deleted both pairings, hard reset and all. It took a long time to load the contacts after the system service reset. It seems to crash even when not uploading the address book.
I may disable the contact upload on the phone to see if that helps. Not sure how many contacts I have, though it seems a bunch. Mostly unused junk.
Turning off and on the bluetooth on the mini is so far the only solution. The phone thinks it's still connected and mini doesn't even try to find it. Turning off and resetting the iphone doesn't do anything.
Leaning towards a mini problem at this point.
