Yes, it sounded like there was no oil in the top of the motor when I started out in the morning. I got a new timing chain, tensioner, sprocket, gaskets...I was not a happy camper but after driving it this weekend, it's all good again.

Wasn't there a movie about walking tall and carrying a big stick years ago? I seem to remember that when I think of CMS

I don't know about the big stick, but walking tall will just get you a bump in the head at CMS.

(unless you are vertically challenged)

I have to get your attention somehow. How would you like to stop in L.A. on your way back from your beach party in San Diego? I have a couple of large parts to pick up at M7 that will save some shipping? You might meet Peter (the other biggest salesman I know).

I should have room and it would not be a big problem for me to stop on the way back up.

Not yet. I won't have time this weekend anyway. I have to work on JIMINNI before he gets bumped again.

Oh Joe, Nick's motor got trashed by UPS again. That's two. This time I refused it when it arrived in the same thrashed box with no pallet. Another one is on the way using FedEx Freight, which is how it should have gone in the first place.

Actually, the Frackmobile lives on in dozens of other MINIs, so it is not gone, just dispersed.

It was a donor and therefore did not die in vain. Not only did it give its life to save Fracky and his buddy, it as you said, has gone on to save other MINIs. Not too bad of a legacy - gone but not forgotten.

He was jumping up and down with joy. Now, if I didn't have to share my space with the landlord, it wouldn't have made a difference. His side is a mess, but he's the landlord. It's never the best when the landlord is in the buildings around where you rent. Hey, what day are you coming back from San Diego?

I'm going to try to be back in time for Casa on the 12th traffic will be the only issue. As for Taps it felt good sending it off like you would for a "shipmate". Fracky I'm working on getting my next MOD lined up for when I get back Can we say Carbon Fiber and yet another piece of the JCW kit on my car

As neat as the 'FPD part deux' has become, it'll never be as cool as the original Frackmobile. Its legacy lives on in my heart, mind & many of your cars. Not much better than you can get than that.
