Had the opportunity to drive a CooperS the past couple of days and I am hooked. This car has some get up & go. You thought I drove fast before, I had so much fun. Won't tell you everything cause the owner of the car will be reading this thread. JK I still favor my 2005 Chili Red Cooper, but I like the performance in the S. So maybe in the next couple of months, I might just surprise you all and show up in a new Cooper S.

I will be leaving at the crack of dawn to head to SD as I have airplanes landing late morning down there. I think Suzie should bring our daughter and her boy friend up to Casa. As for the car very wise choice glad you finally drank the Kool-aid

I was talkin' to Jim today & was telling him about the new Camaro SS I've been driving the past couple of days. Ladies & gentlemen...."American muscle is alive & well." I know the car isn't for everybody, but if I could rock my mullet wig while driving it - all would be right in the world.

Okay Fracky, don't rub it in. I'm so jealous. This car is totally awesome in style & performance. The Camaro is my dream car. I've only gotten to test drive. According to Nick, would have to give up my MINI to be able to have this car and right now I'm not sure thats what I really want to do. Have fun with the car.

The Mini is still faster from point A to point B Less time spent at the gas pumps filling up the tank

Shelly,
I have gotten the liberty of driving both styles of the S (05 & Later). I can tell you I loved driving both. But I have to say John's and Janet's were on the top of the list. Don't get me wrong I love my Cooper. But I could see myself in a newer S! I think that you and me would be deadly in a S! No one could keep up with us then!

Did you drive the older model or the newer? You should try both. Let's get together a trade cars for the day. I know you hate the new dash, but you get used to it. The mucho better seats make it all worthwhile. Plus, if you get a new one you get to design it yourself like you did the first time. (PS--get the rear fog lights. I will not listen to Jim next time--ha-ha).

This is a MINI Cooper website. You are only asking for trouble by talking (shhh) about other cars. My old BMW nearly committed suicide in the garage when I brought MINI home. Heaven knows what our MINIs would do! Anyone remember the old HERBIE movie when HERBIE started ramming the exotic sports car? Don't say I did not warn you. I cannot find a clip of that particular scene but.....

Enjoy.

Hah, this clip explains the MINIs. Must be those German made cars, which technically MINIs sort of are.

I know the S would get me in trouble. I just whizz right pass the speed limit signs. We could have our own autocross right here in town.

I was driving Ken's 2005 Cooper S. The trade cars for a day sounds like a plan. I have already built my new Cooper S. The only thing it does not have is a chauffeur. I do have the rear fog light on my car, but I do not use it much. People driving behind you complain that it is too bright.

Cool! Go for it Shelly!
I'm all and I get a because any passengers look like . It took me awhile to get used to the big speedometer but it is functional, especially with the convenience package.
