The kit is the rotors and the mounting kit with hoses. We don't need the hoses so that will reduce the cost a bit. The rotors are 11.75" with aluminum center hats. No drilled holes.

Just scroll down to the "Rear Kits"

Jiminni & Fracky: Why not find out how many are interested and then call Todd to see if and what kind of deal he might be able to put together?

Same ol' same ol'
No work yet. Had a very promising cook thru for a new italian place last nite though. keep fingers crossed.
Have no idea when I might get back thata way. Maybe for Amviv or maybe for 2nd annual corned beef fest.
Miss everyone. I am going to try and go on a run with the 5280 club this weekend and might hook up with Lyle in a couple weeks in Vail (he is coming up for some installs)

If you'll come out for it, we'll have it. I wouldn't count on much of a turn out from this group if its at my house again. So maybe someone else should host?

Steve, Do you think I need the drilled rotors or will the standard set be alright? I have the hoses so that should save some. let me know and we will go ahead with the order. thanks.

It's up to you. It doesn't do anything for braking, just looks. I don't like drilled rotors so I'm biased. I'd save the money for something more fun.

Looking for feedback as I will be replacing my run flats with non run flats in the next month prior to AMVIV and have been looking at these two tires:
-in the 205/45/17 the General Exclaim UHP

-in the 215/45/17 the Continental Tire Extreme Contact DWS

Talking with Alex at Tire Rack he recommends the Continental for all season handling looking to MidCal for any issues etc.

Chief, hands-down the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star-spec's. I've had: Pirelli P-Zero; BF Goodrich KDW2 & Toyo's and these are hands-down my favorites. Plus, they have a great price point ($127/tire). JIMINNImachine's got em' too. They consistently score "top tire" across the board in all publications.

I think he wants something that will be okay in the rain too.

They have good wet ratings, for a extreme summer tire, and I believe they are cheaper than $127. I got mine for $100

Just looking at the trips back and forth over the grape vine. The other issue I see with the Dunlop's is the wear especially when I'm driving 30 miles minimum per day and usually 3-4 hundred miles on the weekends. This is on a good weekend so with the high milage the trade off is a little less handling for longer wear.

I would talk to Steve, he does his weekly drives up to the Bay Area and he uses them on some wet roads. Just remember, when we start up our summer runs those "all seasons" will keep you behind us

These are the ones Clif was telling you about. Great tire and good in the rain. Should be able to get 25-30K out of them.

Yep, these are an awesome tire too. After my different all-season tire experience I'm done with em'. Instead, the Dunlop gives me exactly what I'm looking for. As far as staying up with the rest of us....JIMINNI got his so he could at least stay +11 car lengths behind me.

The Dunlop tires are great but not for his needs.

I'm running the Dunlops because my other tires are on the bent rims from a recent trip to the Bay Area. It was storming badly during my last trip and the Dunlops didn't do well on the flowing highways, but maybe no tire would have. I might get about 20k miles out of them so they aren't long wearing.

Hi John,
I am now on my second set of the Generals and have been very happy with them for everyday driving in all weather (except snow). I am running 215/45/17 and they are M&S rated but are classified as an extreme performance tire. I got over 30k out of the first set. I believe Tina is running them also. They handle great in the twisties. Maybe not as good as the Dunlaps or BFG but at 65$ per tire the price is hard to beat esspecially for a daily driver. You can always get a dedicated set for canyon blasting, autox and track days.
Chef
