Absolutely! I'm on a backpacking trip through the Sierra this weekend, but I'll be pow-wowing with Dr.Steve when I come back to see what's been decided upon. We'll make a poker run outta this & have some fun.

So far, so good - no idle surging. I haven't romped on it at all though, so I'm not sure if this occurs only under heavy abuse. I'll continue to keep you posted.

I actually got a call from my MA earlier today. The car is at the dealership waiting to get detailed and was able to up my pickup day to Friday. Now that I know it is actually there, I can breathe easier. I saw a Laser Blue mini earlier today and I tried to follow it to yell out at the owner, but it turned off. Oh well--going a bit crazy now!

was it an 09 S with white top and stripes? i think that might be Jessie's dad's wife's mini she just got a laser blue 09 S......hahahahaha so the next two new MINIs might be twins!!!

 

Actually it was all blue with a man driving. Jessie's mom's car sounds just like mine! You should get her to a meeting. j.

Dr.Steve: I'm rpm surging again & it was brought on just idling and not under load. I'd like to make the run to Jamestown, but I'm not apt to do so with a troublesome vacuum leak. Think ya' can get to the bottom of this latest wrinkle?

Note: Oh, the passenger window won't roll down now so please order me a motor for that side.

I doubt I will sleep much tonight. You will get a kick out of our newest addition to the family--I let my son Nick keep one of the SPCA foster puppies and his name is.....COOPER! He is a little Chaweenie. Will have to learn how to upload photos---Jim I need help! j.

My sister just got a new puppy too, a Golden, and his name is also COOPER

 

We also have a Golden, about 2 years old and insane

 

OH how cute! Two new additions and there both named cooper! I Love It!!! I will be thinking of you tomorrow, have FUN and take lots of pictures!!!!

Cant wait to meet the newest addition

 

When Bitzie got her new baby last September, I drove her to the dealership. They walked her through all of the features (very hands on for about an hour) and then it was time for her to drive it off the lot. Keep in mind now that she does not drive LA freeways. I was not about to drive her new car, so picture if you will, Bitzie driving her new MINI from the dealership onto the 55 and then onto the 405 doing about 45 mph while the rest of cars were going 70. I was her wing man and actually ran interference leaving her plenty of room to change lanes. I was laughing so hard it made my sides hurt! On the trip home I took the LA to Bakersfield leg and then she took it from there. I don't know how many times I had to listen to "slow it down, you're going too fast"!

Enjoy your new baby and congratulations. I even have pictures of my baby's first bath and her first oil change. So don't forget to document the "delivery"!

 

Thank you everyone for being so supportive. I am up with the crows this morning getting ready for the drive to Sacramento. Going to be one loooong drive. Got the camera ready and Jim will have to show me how to post photos in the gallery. j.

 

Yesterday, I got to fly my first turbine helicopter, an EC120.

Heres a pic of me landing it at Torrance Airport.





All in all, I flew from Orange County Muni, to Torrance, to Hawthorne, to LAX, back to Torrance, then to Long Beach, and back to Orange.

And a video that my passenger took on my departure from LAX. 100 ft over 747s then down to the beach and 50' off the deck at 120 kts.


That was an amazing day.
