Dr.Steve, let's add checking my a/c unit to the "to do" list next weekend. I've noticed it but never worried about it - my a/c blows lukewarm air. The Audi went to the shop for it's first scheduled maintanence today, so we've been driving the MINI (I know crazy huh! ). Obviously, in this weather lukewarm a/c isn't cutting it. Also.......car went into limp mode again. You're positive I'm on the schedule for this next week right? I pretty much stay within a 10mile radius of the house just in case I have to get out to push.

Note: The clacking sound it always there & louder than ever. You gotta Quaife handy?

My shift **** came loose & the shifter's feeling "funky" for some reason. I think the a/c is totally dead. I walked into my appointment this afternoon soaked in sweat after the 5min ride. It's definitely been one of those days where if a piano fell on top of it, I think I'd just get a Lotus Exige S as a replacement & call it "good".

Bite your tongue! I am not feeling the love... we all get under the weather every now and again. Perhaps MINI is just letting you know he has been somewhat neglected and will not stand for it anymore. See if he acts up you have to pay more attention. They sense these things and are not afraid to let you know how they really feel. The two of you need some together time... ha ha. Sounds as if he has a bit of a temper too!

You can't just buy them shiny objects and keep them happy. Did you ever think that maybe this MINI is really a girl? Food for thought.

I need to glue the shift **** adaptor so it won't spin on the shaft. Hopefully, when you got hot (no AC,) you didn't get too agressive with your MINI. Don't know what the other things are, but that car has some serious issues. Never buy a heavily modded car if you don't know the modder personally seems to be a good idea after seeing your car.

I heard that the RED locktight really works at holding things together might even work better then the wire that was holding the car together in the first place when the "professional modder" that owned the car last did his thing.

Enjoying the green sands of the Big Island, however I really need a Mini for the winding road over here as the Nissan Frontier is just not as much fun. Although going 6 miles off road using the 4 wheel drive to see the green sands beach was priceless.

That's boring after the Big Island unless you go to the north side to surf. Does that mean you're heading home soon or just going to sunbathe for awhile?

Going to Oahu to see my Mom. The inlaws live on the Big Island. Will come back over to the Big Island on the 4th then head home on the 11th. Kathleen is going to bring her car down on the 6th will probably need rear brakes and she has a sound of something running near steering column when she turns the car off twice so far. Starting and then shutting off cleared the problem.
