The car show was fun. There were some different cars there this year so there were more to look at. Unfortunately, there was a clear bias against us by the Shrine this year. They didn't want us to win the club participation trophy for the forth year in a row so they conveniently counted entries and not actual cars at the show. So, if you want to win, just buy it by signing up a few people who aren't going to show up. Needless to say, we won't be going back. Joe, on the other hand, had a great time at the autocross and didn't break his MINI. Too bad we all didn't go.

I had a freakin' awesome time at the SCCA event with Cliff & Chet. Being able to drive your car to its abilities, explore your own limits & learn in a safe, responsible environment is wayyy cool. Dr.Steve re-did my brake setup which works like a champ....I thought I was going to endo my car the first time I stepped on the brakes. Exiting the freeway, I went from 65mph to 10mph in the distance of a parking space. Thank goodness for 5-point harnesses!

We're now running up-front: StopTech BBK w/ slotted+vented fronts with Hawk HT-10 track+street pads. In the rear: PowerSlot discs with Hawk HP+ with Turner Motorsports brass bushing upgrade. Stainless brake lines & racing blue fluid. Kuhhhhhrazzzy!!

No more so than our lovely economy. Everyone is retreating and tightning in these f^$ked up times.
It is rough when you cant afford to Mod or even do upgrade maintainance.

 

We were at the car show with another one of our cars Saturday May 9th at Sierra Vista Mall, which won by the way and we were interested in your group.
Spoke with a few of the members and got a card with your website but it forwarded us here so we joined and just wanted to know about meetings and if you do functions or ????

I left a message for him reminding him this is the third Friday and the fourth is the one before Labor Day Weekend which would probably reduce attendance.

I wanted to let you all know about the "Just Pay half" program that KCEE 24 has going on this week. You can Buy a 50.00 gift certificate for $25.00. This week they are selling them for Casa Corona again. I purchased some last time. They come in two 25.00 gift certificates and you can use them towards everything, excluding tip. There is a 3.00 or so shipping charge for them. But when I think of Tom and me, we can go in there on one night and spend 30-40 depending on drinks. The certificates go on sale tomorrow at 6:55 am and can be found at ksee.incentrev.com or KCEE24.com under the "Just pay 1/2" icon. Don't know if anyone is interested, just wanted to spread the word.

Hey guys, we have a new bad azz MINI in the MidCal group. Nick (Jill's brother) just scored this car & we're going down to take delivery in <2 weeks. This is the replacement car for the wrecked Vette & Nick will be joining us for track days & auto-x. For those of you haven't met my brother-in-law, he's awesome & you're gonna dig hanging out with him. I've already introduced him to Randy (M7 Tuning), so he's "in the club".

 

I have not been on for a while..........but I want to welcome all of the new members...for sure.

I did not know about the meeting. I did not get an e-mail. Well, I will soon catch up ! Don't worry !!!
