Can you post a picture of what this would look like? I'm not sure I've seen ungelcoated CF in-person & I know a couple other people in the group might be interested in what this looks like.

I discussed your application with my fabricator today and he said weave CF would work. I need to know the exact dimensions, what finish you want, etc... We can do gel coated CF or some kind of really cool color combinations. It will end up being a 1/4" core. Also, I've talked about a lot of this with steve, so you might want to discuss it with him.

Well, if you're over at the shop - take a look at my rear seat area. It's going to be a platform from the front area (above the cupholder) back to the tailgate (over battery box). It's probably best done in two sections, ie. so I can get to amps for sound adjustments. I'd be down with a black/silver combination to keep my theme coherent. After MMMT, we're going to do the suspension & then CF is next up. Since your guy sounds like he really knows his stuff, what might be best is to take the car to him & let him do the template. Speaking of MMMT, I'm super-psyched about the Autopower bar & getting to try the 5-pt harnesses.

Did your previous bar touch the headliner after it was installed? This thing was almost impossible to install because there is no clearance. I am thinking they may have sent one for a no-sunroof car. Give me a call when you get a chance.

You know how he likes a unique look, just cut a couple holes in the roof and drop it down in, the bar would go across the roof

Steve Said he would make a cardboard cutout so its sized right. Well, In that case I will have him do standard woven fiber. It will be thick but strong.

Dr.Steve, thank you *very* much for the roll bar install - it looks awesome & I've already gotten great feedback.

You're welcome all. Thanks to NickQ for showing up at the right time to help me bend Fracky's roof to get the bar in. Somehow, I think this bar was made for a no-sunroof MINI since it is still a very tight fit. Have fun at MMMT and don't break anything.

Steve

Ummmm...don't think so. I talked to a bunch of people about it, but they've all sipped the punch.

No. This is a select deal for a few select people. It's not for general information. Plus, it's part of "Project Top Secret".

I will be in fresno tomorrow. Fracky, if you want me to get rolling on that CF piece, can you please bring your car into the shop tomorrow afternoon? My CF fabricator has the table setup and ready to go...

Let's get those harnesses in before it gets busy again. It looks like I get to drill some more holes in your MINI. I can also move the wiring harnesses for the CF project.

Sweet!!! Can I bring it by tomorrow? I'm already at the office & don't plan on going home during the day today. Hope those pictures I sent you help! Oh, the a/f sensor I think is screwed up. When the car starts I'm reading normal a/f numbers, but after a moment it gets stuck on 10.0. I guess you get to call PLX again. Oh, were you able to get quotes &/or order suspension components?
