Not to change the subject, but where have you been? Have not seen you since you came back. What have you been up to? You need to come down some time for dinner & drinks. You should try and make the next MINI meeting. I'm thinking its the 19th of September. Mark your calandar. We would all like to see you.

Damn!!! Are these being set? Every time I leave, there's another fire. I hope nothing starts on Road 423 because it will go straight uphill to my house. What was the closest street to the fire near your home?

Steve

It was on south big oak flat road. It connects Hillsborough Lane (the road that I live on) to indian springs road.

The fire fighters I asked refused to comment on whether it was arson or not, but this is like the 3rd fire in a week. There were 4 seperate fires last night and all of them were by the road. Do the math.

Dr.Steve & I are going to need some CF sheets cut down to fit my version of rear-seat delete. Does your guy do cutting on request? I'm buying 3'x4' sheets so this guy better be pretty good - not something I'm willing to let fall to chance. Lemme know.

We passed back through Oakhurst coming home tonight from our romp outside Mammoth. The weather was perfect at 9,900 feet.

So I went for a weekend drive up Beashore today. What hapens 5 minutes in? One of the corners stole my jack point! I came in close to an apex and the damn cement edge grabbed the point and ripped it off. Luckily I was able to find it on my way back down.

While you're at it, can you get a price quote for 2.1mm CF sheet(s) for me? The site I'd found was Protechcomposite, but if you're guy can be a one stop shop that'd be wayyy cool. Good lookin' out.

I need more info than that. How many layers. What type of carbon? What thickness honeycomb? What type of reinforcement? Etc... Carbon fiber comes in many flavors...

Only the best for the Frackmobile. Remember, he needs to hold up 10 bottles of NOS back there.

Well, I'll let your fab guy give me his direction & advice. The CF sheets are my own version of RSD & the CF floor will be used to support the NO2 bottle & two Bazooka subs. When you say "what type of carbon" are you asking if I'm looking for a CF/Kevlar weave, colored, etc.?

OK. I need to know if you want Unidirectional or weave. Unidirectional is the real deal. It is what f1 cars are made out of. I imagine he could put one layer of weave on top but it still wont be as strong.... I will see what he says.

Let's go unidirectional. #1 it needs to support the weight, but #2 (just as important) it needs to look uber-cool.

Personally, unidirectional ungelcoated CF would be very unique and cool.
