Hey Joe, someone mentioned an Irish pub called The Public House as a possible meeting place. Has anybody checked it out?

I know somebody went & checked it out, but I don't remember who. I think Luna's Pizzeria in Old Town Clovis sounds like a good meeting place. They have your MGD on tap.

Thanks, I'm not too fond of pizza restaurants, anyway. Some place with a menu of actual food would be nice. I think the person who checked it out said it was a little pricey. Maybe Casa Corona would be a good place.

On a different subject, you are going to have to get that Hamann shift **** off yourself. I hammered up from the bottom and it didn't even budge. I did a search and found a forum where someone mentioned that, if the adhesive was used, it was almost impossible to get off. I also found out how much those things cost. I going to raise my prices if you can afford to pay that for a shift ****!

Well, I found it on eBay four years ago for a sorta steal & it fit my hand perfectly. Now you know why I kept declining your offer when you wanted to swap it with something different.

If you buy it and keep your old wheels I call dibs on the wheels that are on the car right now.

One of my customers said today it does have a back room for large parties. Maybe they were thinking of another place.

Joe, I think you like it because it comes with all those palm trees. It sounds like a good deal if the work was done well. I'm not too fond of the color, but that's not too much of a problem. No Nav or Chrono so you have the center speedo. It has the rear amp so we could do a hack job on the wiring to make you feel at home.

Joe, I'm glad your fellow crash survivor is well enough to be back at work. I hope your bruises are healing and you'll be back on track soon. Any word on the salvage value or when I can start picking the bones of your dearly departed MINI? We need to plan a BBQ/wake for the Frackmobile once it's remains are ready to be buried (crushed). It should have a proper send off.

I have a British flag that we can drape over the "crushed cube" and we can do a tea, crumpets and beer table to acknowledge its heritage.

Glad to hear that you and your friend are on the mend.

I have not been to The Public House, but attached is a link to some reviews.

Had great parking until Cabo Wabo opened up. They are in the same parking lot.

My buddy Dave's going to be out of work until 3rd week of November most likely. His injuries are pretty severe. I'm going to be going back to work tomorrow. I talked to my claims adjustor briefly this afternoon & they're reviewing all the documentation I provided for valuation purposes. I've not heard anything yet in regards to payoff, etc. I really want to get past the medical billing phase of this nightmare.

I think that's a brilliant idea!!! I'll help provide the tea as long as everyone agrees to drink with a pinky up & greets their fellow motorcar drivers with a "how do you do?". That would be a great BBQ!!

I'm sorry to here that. I don't see how he got the brunt of the injuries with him being on that side of the car. I hope the insurance nightmare is over soon since it's not fun even in a fender-bender.

Aren't most wakes combined with heavy amounts of drinking? And not tea, either. Isn't Perry an English surname? Even though the MINI is an English car, I think it should be an Irish style wake because they know how to party.

I had a nice lunch with my buddy Dave today. He's still in a lot of pain & has a long recovery road ahead of him. Please keep him in your thoughts. He's a super-rad guy & you guys would enjoy hanging out with him. After this I'm sure he'll have a permanent aversion to small cars, but maybe he can come visit at a meeting.

On another note, I called about the white MCS autocross car in Arizona & it's actually owned and built by one of the service techs at Mini-Phoenix. That answered a bunch of questions I might've had about maintenance & up-keep. I also found another potential car. The freakin' Dragonflyer!!!!! OMG, I'm excited about it. The freakin' Dragonflyer!!!!

I won't repeat what I typed on the thread MIDCAL meeting at Tony Roma's but will say... they have SHOCK-TOP beer on tap at the Yosemite Falls on Blackstone. It seems to taste a lot like Blue Moon. Also have some great news about a MINI trip sleep over and Bar-B-Que in Santa Cruz in Feb. More info to come next meeting.

Joe I don't think you would be happy with a classic, even a v-tec. It's not even close to the new models. Besides after your last ordeal an SUV could be a better fit. If you are looking for a CR/W an freind for mine has an 05 like mine for sale. He has an 07 also and doesn't need both. It has been well care for. It dosen't have many mods, but no sun roof.

Thanks Checkers! Well, I've narrowed it down but I appreciate the lead. Does anyone know how much the M7 rear diffuser is? I can't find the information anywhere.

For the R56 it's $699. The R53 version is not out yet but expect a similar price.

Dr. Steve,
Just want to say thank you for the installs on Friday! The Borla sounds sweet, and the short shifter is a blast too. I lowered the shifter and entered and exited the on/off ramps of Hwy 168, just to get the quick shifting and a little speed in at the same time. I'm excited for our next Wonder Valley road trip.

Thanks again,
Ted

Fracky the M7 deffuser requires you to move the battery box and replace the exhaust system. Do not forget to add the in to the price.
