Hard to say how they run in a light rain since it went from cool and dry to cool and extremely wet. Cool and dry was not confidence building and in heavy rain you might as well throw any kind of traction out the window. I'm beginning to think you're right about old Azenis but maybe thats true of any old performance tire.
Hope my tires stay soft and wear out fast before any more track time. Got any suggestions on a worthy replacement for the Azenis?

Hoosier R6, 225/40-17. May require wheel spacers, but it's the only size close enough to fit. The Kumho V710 doesn't have a tire that fits a MINI with a 17" wheel.

The wifes Bimmer got clipped on the front corner, don't know when it happened and no one left a note . Hit hard enough to pop out the inner feld well out. Left a dent to. Steve do you think it will need the suspension checked and aligment to? We have a $500. deductable, I'm thinking we are going to turn it over to the insurance co. .

If your going to do that why not switch to a 15" rim?

Well they got the head off. Here's the bad news, 3 pistons are burnt and the head has a hole burnt in the number 2 combustion chamber. So it will take some time before it's back togather. Not sure how it happened, but it's going to get fixed. See you in January some time.

My rims are light already and you would have to run high profile tires to make up the difference in diameter. Plus, I think 15" rims look dumb on a MINI.

Yes, I agree with this. "Bigger is better." I've already told Chris we should stick some clear 22"s on his ryde.

I would gladly update it if I didn't have to gather all the info. Same old deal. A nice e-mail with the info that I could cut and paste or maybe even just an e-mail. I don't have time to do everything. I have asked for just this much over and over again, but nobody cares. Broken record.................

Well I wont disagree with that but if its only for track/autox use who cares how it looks as long as it works.

Hard to argue with that after all British wire wheels look better than stock car steel wheels but which is more effective?
