So it smoked before she got it to where she was going? Is a local shop doing the work?

That souns like the valve cover. I read a thread a while back where the car did the same thing. Turns out, when the Oil Catch Can was installed, the line got kinked. The extra pressure popped the valve cover off its bolts, and boom! Sorry to hear it man, keep us posted!

Major Bummer.....keep us up to date.
Did Sue make it all the way to Edge or did it have to be towed in?

Speaking of OCC's, are they actually necessary?

No Willium, stuck on the freeway. Edge came out and pick it up on one of their trailers. I'm going to hold off until i find out what happened, but i called Jan about his STROKER engine to get a price. We think the intercooler might have blowen and dumped water in to the intake, but not sure. Maybe i should slow down on the mod's (sure i will). What the ell you can't take it with you.

I did some research. It turns out that the OCC causing the valve gasket to grenade has happened moe than once. Almost all the cases happened in northern CA, SF area. I couldn;t find evidence for sure (names deleted), but I'm positive Edge was the shop responsible in the past for the faulty OCC install.... Checkers, you shouldn;t be responsible for a cent of the repair costs. If edge trys to take advantage of you or give you responsibility for it, contact a lawyer.
