A Big Thanks
Met Randy of M7 and got a tune from Emil. Felt like a really social butterfly. We were not very careful about using the new found smoothness and power on the way home. If you've got it use it I say.
Many thanks to Jim and Joe for letting me share in the tune and run.
I have a whole bunch of stuff to post for you guys: pictures, videos, dyno plot(s), etc. etc. Let me preface by saying my plug wires were having some issues & weren't transmitting after 6700rpm. Dr.Steve, please set aside a new set of blue Nology's for me.
My baseline was 171.97 whp & 160.35 max torque. After three runs & Emil tweaks/tunes, I'm at 187.95 whp & 168.35 max torque. My run was still climbing at 6700rpm but was cutoff on the screen, so we're anticipating 195ish at the wheels. A/F was adjusted upwards for enrichment, etc. I'll post a complete write-up this evening.

Let me first start by saying Saturday was totally awesome. I felt like a little kid getting ready to go to Disneyland - I woke up like 7 times before I finally got outta bed at 5:45am. Jim & I met Cliff in Selma for coffee and after reading "Cap49"s posts for a long time, it was great to meet the man behind the avatar.
We agreed to cruise down to LA, but <cough, cough> we ended up making really good time. Dr.Steve, you know that wire you couldn't figure out? It's the lead to the radar detector by the rear-view mirror. Since we were running "blind", we used Cliff's great driving skills & my spidey sense to avoid the fuzz. I'd like to do a Valentine-1 with remote display for next time.
Keith & Rich from The Los Angeles Performance Division (aka The LAPD) showed us a great time. They had donuts waiting for us when we got there & gave us a tour of their facility, which specializes in super high-performance Corvette Z06's: blown, twin-turbo'd, or built NA 402's. After watching Keith & Emil (Vitesse Pro) work with our cars on the DynoJet, I can totally see how just one car could spend the entire day on the dyno.
In fact, to get an individual car's nuances hammered out I'm sure you could easily do 5-7 pulls. Emil was a genius on his laptop & custom mapped us each new parameters. The consensus was the JCW 380's + cam make a huuuge difference. For the most part, Jim & my cars are pretty similiar: header-back exhaust, pulley(s), intake, injectors, coil & wires. My cam seemed to be good for +10hp when comparing our cars' runs. Tomorrow, I'll go get a scanner & then I'll be able to post my plot.
Randy T (M7 Tuning) stopped by the shop to hang out after punking Evo's in the canyons all morning. Super-cool dude & led us on a quick jaunt through a short canyon stretch which put us right back on the 118. The ride home? "Quick" & that's all I'm sayin'.
Also, I've gotta try to figure YouTube out so I can post the videos I took. In the meantime, here's some pictures to tide everyone over.

The wheels are coming, the wheels are coming!
Just an update, I should hopefully have my newly powder coated black web spokes back by the end of the week.
Might even have them on by the weekend (well, 50/50 chance on that one). I'll update with pics as soon as I get em on!
So I'm a bit over excited about it, I blame Fracky. Somehow its gotta be his doing that Im this excited. Plus, that means that I finally get to ditch the S-lites that the Frackster was kind enough to loan to me. An R56 just doesn't look right in S-lites...

What color backlight do you want for your boost gauge? Autometer comes with red, green, blue and amber LEDs.Steve
Dude, choose the color-change LED option & then have Dr.Steve do the same LED's in your air-conditioning ducts so they glow. Yep, that'd be pretty sweet - you can admit it.
Hey mang, that dude wants to sell me his $300. Forge gift certificate for $225. What you think?
I'll go Friday
. I'm easy, no special orders. Half onions, half mushrooms. Medium or half medium half rare

I/we know that. You couldn't stop raving about it last night. I know it's your favorite place & all, but I don't want to go back.
Steve
. So, are we going to be "Cosworthy"
.

will be awaiting posted result of the "tunes"
