A Big Thanks
Before you weld it, the megan header and test pipe is about 8" longer than the stock header.... Plan ahead for that so you dont have to cut and weld your exhaust later on.... Nitrous is getting refilled tomorrow and I'm paying the dyno shop a visit to make sure everything is set for Jan to come out and map my ECU...
It does have quite a drone. The only gasket is at the cat and right now i don't have a gasket because i need to get different bolts that are long enough to have a gasket in between. I was thinking about getting some flanges on the mid section and rear section welded on so i can create a way better connection then the slip fit method.
this week I am ordering 2 of those clamps and get it all secured together. For some reason my passenger airbag light won't go out I checked the connections under the seat I wonder if they went bad or the sensor in the seat went bad.

Only one piece left to take off. Didn't find anything new broken.
I'm going to try to get mine tuned next month by Jan if we can make a connection. My car's going back in the shop for some more polishing and powder coating and maybe after that a tune.
By the way, what time does the xcross on Nov 3rd & 4th ? I was thinging about come down and watching ( no car just a p/u).

That's what I've been wondering!
Since I'm not going to be getting a head/cam/intake manifold anytime soon, I've been thinking about getting a RMW tune for the mods I have. I already have the Shark, but from what I've read the Dyno tune will actually squeeze additional hp outta the motor along with all the stuff the Shark does. Does anybody have an idea of cost?
Randy,
registration opens at 7:30am and 1st car out is usually around 9:30. We (street modified) will most likely run in the afternoon (last 2 events we ran in the morning groups) . Depends on who is running the show and how many cars there are as to how close to staying on schedule they will be. I'm probably going to miss Saturday....depends on where I end up at the conclusion of Fridays run over highway 36 to 101.
And then may "flip a coin" to do AutoX or REME's run.
on Sunday.
Go here for info and directions to the track.

Go for it. I'm setting up a group buy for him to fly out to michigan to tune our club's cars.....
$350 + dyno time (usually $100)

Well, he uses Dimsport which is the best, IMO. Its the same tune that Luckydog uses. Jan says, the lowest gain hes ever gotten was 12 whp, and with a car like yours, you could gain as much as 20 or more.
The tune can be whatever you want. it all depends on how much time and money you want to put into the tune. You can just have them map WOT and a basic map on partial throttle, or you can have them do a full map for everything. The time could range from 30 minutes for a basic tune ($50) to hours.... It all depends on how deep you want them to go into it.

It all depends on how good your tune from the factory was. Think 15whp conservativley. The time factor improves the smoothness of your engine and gas mileage at partial throttle. It will also increase power at partial throttle which helps on track and auto x.
Man I don't mean to sound like a jerk but no one can answer that untill they get in there and see what they are working with. Plus its about a lot more than Numbers. They can make your TQ curve more linear. they can play with your A/F.
Does anyone have a pre/post RMW custom dyno tune to post so we Mid-Cal'ers can see before and after results? It'd be neat to see a tune involving a car with lots of bolt-ons, but not having header/cam/intake manifold. Don't know if that graph is floating around, but it'd be cool to see.
Give Jan a call. Heres a link to the thread where jan talks about his ecu flash....

Blake,
You've done some super-cool things with your car lately. Do you have any other neat mods slated for the next couple months? Jim's wife & my wife are playing the role of "financial flow restrictor", so we need to live vicariously.

Heh. There are a couple things in the works. First I want to get to 200 whp on motor, then later on this year is a special design rotex supercharger from jan....
