Next project for my MINI is the DT bypass valve. The track day finished my failing one off and now I have boost at idle. ECU doesn't like it (EML), but I sure get off the line fast.
Yes, I just have to have time to do it. I'm replacing a CVT in a customer's car, currently. MINIs are getting old enough with enough miles on them to need some major work. Good thing they had an aftermarket warranty. Those damn things are expensive.

Alright I was studying some stuff on realoem.com and would it be possible to retrofit the 02-04 Upper Motor mount to a 06 pretty much eliminating the pesky leaky little ****
Holy crap Brad!!
Dude, what the heck happened with the Jeep. You took out the front end of your car doing "xx"mph? The Hamann front bumper is still available in the parts thread for cheap & you can spring for a CF hood. I'm thinking this accident could be a blessing in "crunched hood" disguise.
All I can say is WOW I guess that means you won't be at the autoX this Sunday. A roll of duct tape and you should be good to go! Any of the internals hurt or just cosmetic?
Good Luck with your fix'em up. Probably stop by next week.

If he had lights to get there, we could just remove the hood and bumper, shake all the glass and bits out, and be good to go. Might look a little strange, but what the hell.

Duct tape some flash lights to the front......for head lights.. arm signals work well He'd be lighter and definately in the Street Modified class....
Well I got the exhaust on and it sounds great. I went to the drag strip yesterday and I was running consistant 15.7's on my second time running the quarter mile. I need to get it adjusted so the interconnecting pieces so they don't leak through the compression cuts.

Nice. Did you use new gaskets? Used ones don't seal very well.
If your hearing doesn't go, you can add a header and that will finish it.
It does have quite a drone. The only gasket is at the cat and right now i don't have a gasket because i need to get different bolts that are long enough to have a gasket in between. I was thinking about getting some flanges on the mid section and rear section welded on so i can create a way better connection then the slip fit method.
