JCW Power Up!!!
Dragon, what's your "lean" AFR? I'm suspecting something is amiss because even without the tuning box you're running lean.
The decat pipe will free-up some restriction so you might see a momentary overboost but the DME should be able to handle that. The F56 DME runs on constant closed loop continuously monitoring the primary wideband O2 sensor (located before the catalytic converter), hence as long as there's no fueling shortage, you shouldn't be running lean with or without a decat.
Even on Map 2 JB4 which probably is close to the "Race" map on the Dinan box, I have not experience any fueling shortage. Fueling trims are always well below max, even on AKI91 gas.
Stock map @ WOT I'm seeing low 13s AFR on AKI91.
Map 2 (+6psi) @ WOT I'm seeing mid 12s to low 13s AFR on AKI91 + MTBE
I believe Marcopolo has done some logging with a Decat before. Let's see if he could share his AFR logs to compare.

Might be normal depending on where at the RPM range you saw 14.2. My car on stock map is also running at low 14s up to around 4000rpm. Then it tapers down to the low 13s at close to redline. AFR should range from 1:15 at light load and tapers down up to 12.5:1 ish
at heavy load and high rpm.
These newer DI engines do run leaner than older tech turbo cars.
Any actual dyno sheet with afr readings to review? Dinan would be able to tell you what's going on providing you have data to share.

Here are some logs I posted up for BMS to check which has AFR

Similar to what BadakVT has mentioned above (Mine has std. CAT)

i have just looked into your logs so these cars only get into the 13s at about 5000 revs ?
my mates car started off at 14.2 and then started to rise . i see terry said your logs were fine i did not no the car stayed in that range till around 5000 revs.
he is going to take the car to lohen and put it on there dyno as all they do is mini and see what they say.

Can't say I'm an expert myself which is why I sent logs to BMS (Terry) and if he says that is expected behaviour then I can only assume it is working as intended.
I read that the JB4 will always keep things safe and trim back on boost if it feels things are not working to some parameters. Not sure if other piggyback boxes do the same though?
I had a BMW M135 before with JB4 (sports cat and perf exhaust) and that also run similar AFR so I believe the modern BMW engines are designed like this (my own non expert assumption and from some reading on the net)

Yea, we carry it.

Welcome, it will work on the F57 / F54 also. We just have not updated the ad yet.

Installed my Dinan controller yesterday on my F56 JCW! Works great. Comes in Sport+ mode by default. I have an iOS phone and am waiting for the app to really play with it. Very fun and noticeable difference for a little bit of money!
You will enjoy race mode
Good news - the iOS app was released yesterday.
I found it when searching for Dinantronics; this one is called "D-SPORT" and has the red S on the icon.
Now I just need my tuner to show up so I can try it out...
