It's a lease so no down pipe for me. The employee lease deal was insane. I couldn't have justified buying it.

I've had many Dinan parts back on my E46 M3, real quality stuff! Nothing bad to say about the company.

Dinan, you did confirm your box would work with B-engine BMW cars, yes? I have a B38 X1 coming and most probably gonna go with Dinan box.
B38 X1? x1 18i? We don't get those in the states so we have never put the thing on one but I would be shocked if it wasn't the same sensor plug as the MINI Cooper so it (D440-0012) should work fine.

Yes and yes to answer both of those questions.

Given that iOS 10 is about to drop, I would expect there to be a bit of a backlog in the approval queue as developers submit their updated apps compiled against the latest Xcode.

Buy? Heck, you can't even give away old Android phones. They're like party favors. :-)

(I still have a Galaxy S2 around here somewhere…)

Dinan on a 6speed manual 2016 Cooper S for a few weeks

Just got a 2016 Cooper S last month as a weekend toy. It's my 3rd MINI, I had a 2003 S quite modded (got 237hp and 204lb-ft on the dyno) and a 2011 Countryman All4 S. Out of the three, the F56's engine is quite an engine to start with... The low-end torque it makes is something I wanted to keep when shopping for a remap...

I looked at Burger Motorsports and Dinan. JB tune was on my list because it served me well on my 2010 335i and I liked their products at the time.

I chose Dinan because I wanted to try a different brand. I got to drive my MINI stock for 2 weeks, then added an intake and the Dinan box... It really does make the car drive different and faster/stronger across the whole RPM.

It is surprising the amount of torque available at roughly 1400-1500rpm and the extra surge of power at around 4500rpm.. put together, the extra low-end torque and mig-rpm HP make a great improvement over stock.

Note that I haven't tried JB and NM products, but for $299 (and hopefully and iOS app shortly), Dinan was hard to beat/pass on... and I'm glad I chose Dinan so far... just waiting on the iOS app to get approved by Apple

Come on Apple. Let's get this app in the App Store! Been running on race mode for a few weeks now but am curious on what difference between settings!

On your android app i see that there was an update on august the 30th.
Can you tell us what improvements have been made? I can see in the reviews that some guys still have problems with the bt crashing out.
I will see how i get on as i have updated your app tonight.

As long as you have a B38 or B48 engine in the car the same tune would work for your vehicle as well.

Not sure what engine I have. It's the one from the newer R56 JCW cars, the Gen2 1.8L, not the F56.

You're posting in the wrong section. This is the 3rd gen area. All cars here have either the B38, B46, or B48 engine. For your R series car, you want to post in the 2nd gen area.

Yeah I know. I realized the maker of the part was posting here not there.

I'm wondering if a "boost box" alone will be enough to make advantage of a DP. When I go with a DP it's gonna be with a tune. I already have the Helix IC in anticipation of it. Look for ward to seeing the results of the dyno.

When we took the car out and did some 3rd gear pulls his car was hitting 17psi this was using the digital gauge app from dinan we had the scan gauge set up to and the factory boost gauge
the dyno will tell us how the car is running as the dinan was not made for the down pipe and we just hope its not running lean.

I have a feeling you're gonna be running lean. I think you can read fuel/air mixture on the ScanGauge II.

Well guys today was dyno day for my mates fjcw with decat and the dinan set to race mode.
as suspected by vetsvette the car ran very lean due to the combo.we decided to remove the dinan to check the afr with the stock map the car was still running lean as suspected but also lost 50 bhp so that gives us a guide on what the dinan can produce . The dyno guy said he would like to try a car in stock form with just the dinan added as he thinks the car will still run lean. Has anyone had there car on the dyno to check your air fuel ?

What fuel are you running? Have Dinan recommended a minimum Octane/RON fuel to use in race mode?

Lost 50 bhp to what? against Std or Dinan low map?

I read that NM recommend 100 Octane to run their race map so not sure if Dinan is similar? One thing for sure is that 100 Octane (105 RON) is not available at the pumps in the UK so you would need Octane Booster to get anywhere near this. These Tuning piggy back devices thrive on high octane fuel.

Hi sootyvrs
Shell optimax most tuners over here are happy with 99 ron.not sure on the dinan but i have asked gerry from nm in the past and the shell is fine .
we droped 50 bhp after turning the dinan off and runnining a std map. Your the guy with the burgrr set up and no decat? From yorkshire?
I think our next move is to put my car on the dyno its a std jcw with the dinantronics and a panel filter.
