Ok - so, I went to NM, and it looks like those are the NM Eng. RSe12 18" wheel. What size tire did you go with - 215 40 18s?

Did you just swap over your OEM tires? Mine only have 3500 miles on them so I might be able to just do that instead of replacing the tires, too. I've got to say, your pics make them look so much better than on the NM site, and I like the pics there. I was leaning towards black, but yours are amazing, and would look great on my Rebel Green JCW.

If I ever go with aftermarket wheels those are what I have had my eye on except I'm leaning toward the silver. The 7.5" width will allow a slightly wider tire too. I admit to really loving my two tone cup spokes though on my JCW...I know they are heavy but look great imo. NM is one of the only companies who make wheels specifically to clear the Brembos without spacers and they get my vote!

Yes, I meant - use the OEM tires that came with the car and put them on the new wheels.

Any chance you can take some more pics of the whole car so I can see the total package? Thanks

Hi All

I am about to become an owner of a 2017 F56 JCW and have been reading this thread in detail, very helpful info so far.

First on the list of mods will be coilovers & wheels and would appreciate advice on whether this setup will work with fitment etc;

OZ Superturismo GT 18x8 ET45 (Preferably no spacers, but will if required)
225-35-18 rubber

KW V1 coilovers or;
JCW Pro coilovers @ lowest setting

I would only use JCW coilovers for warranty and ride quality which has been spoken about in this thread already, however I would prefer a little more height adjustment than the JCW Pro's provide.

I don't love the idea of spacers but understand it may be needed and if so was thinking ECS 8mm front & 10mm rear.

If anyone can chime in with some advice would be great.

Enkei TS-10 & Michelin PSS 215/40R18

Ordered through TireRack and installed them on the car. 18x8 ET45 Storm Gray wheels. Very happy with the fitment, appearance and the performance/comfort. Going from the stock 17" runflats to 18" non-runflats has still improved the ride comfort. Probably a combination of lighter wheels (sub 20 lbs) and having a regular sidewall. Slightly larger overall diameter than stock, but if anything that'll made the speedo/odo more accurate. There is about 4mm of clearance to the front calipers.

Careful with curbs.... The paint is REALLY soft and there isn’t much protection from the tyre sidewall.

That's one thing I like about my Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. They have a rim protector.

No worries on the curbs. If I can't get a MINI parked without hitting the curb, I'll hand over my license. Ideally I would've liked a 7.5" wide wheel, but with the limited selection to fit JCW brakes and not be very expensive, I went with these which are 8" wide. The 215 on a 7.5" would've given me my preferred setup, but I had to balance out appearance, weight, cost, etc and these came out on top. I actually think I may have been able to get away with a wider tread width as there's a bit of room between the tread and strut.

If you use just about any tire besides the Michelin PSS, you can use 225/45/17 on a 17x8. The PSS actually runs really wide.

Finally got it all set up, Cost $2,376

OZ Leggera HLT 18x8 ET48 215/40/18FH Indy 500 tires, 66.6 Centering rings to76mm OZ wheels, cone to ball seat adaptors, 50mm Lugs 13mm spacer rear. 9mm (spacer up front) 8mm will work on one, but to be safe go 9 or 10mm

If anyone wants to run any OZ wheels, This will help you, On Tire rack choose Audi A3, (5x112) add your BMW or MINI TPM sensors 533mhz. You can get this whole package mounted & shipped, with the correct hub rings (same as Audi) 66.6-76) Please do not tell them its for a mini, (went through this with 3 different sales reps) or they will not sell it to you! The only thing you can't use, are the lugs that come with the package for an Audi (Different thread pitch M14 1.25 vs 1.5 Audi)

The only other things you need are:

M14 x1.25 Lugs (50mm threads), $60 ebay Silver Tapered Longer Extended Wheel Bolts Lugs | MINI | 14x1.25 | 50MM Thread
spacers 5x112 (10mm front & 12mm rear) get the hub centric ones 66.6 and 5x112 pattern
Cone to Ball seat adaptors. Lug Bolt Adapter washer (6 sets) 9508

9mm 3+3+3

Why you don't take it in ET35 instead of using spacers??
One of my customer got the same wheels in 18x8 ET35 and it fits great.

I didn't see that option (et35) in the dropdown. Was that taken in at a shop?

It would be a great idea, and I would have that done if I could find a place to do custom offset.

You can also try NM. They carry an even wider selection of wheels for VW that come in offsets and colors not available for Mini's. The only downside is you can't use the Mini center caps and the bore is different. I know of a couple of members that had them machine the bore to 66.6 so they could get a particular wheel/color. I spoke with Jerry at NM when I bought my wheels about this, but they had the wheels I wanted in stock for my Mini build. Plenty of clearance for the Brembo's too.

Thought I'd post this, as Im not getting many answers in the F56/F55 section. For you guys who know the Mini offsets well, would 17x8 et35 fit a base Cooper? Not worried about the dimensions of the wheel, nor the width, more so the offset.
