Question for the people who put new wheels on their cars--What TPMS sensors did you get? OEM or aftermarket? Any recommendations? I see OEM ones are around $65 each, but you can buy 4 for half that amount if you go aftermarket. If you bought cheap ones, have you had any issues with functionality or early failure/dead batteries?

$65? I suppose it is where you buy them but I've seen average costs around $350 for a set of four OEM, MINI sensors. I have a set purchased with my wheels from NEUSpeed. They are fine, but don't have a temp sensor so if have BIMMERCODED that feature "on" in your car they won't work.

I just swapped my OM sensors onto the new wheels. Worked fine.

Posted these in the GP group.. Figured I share them where as well.

Enkei GTC02 18x8.5 +31 (org +43 then added 12mm spacers to clear) running 245/40/18. Got them as a combo from a VM member. Very minor rubbing in the rear around the "carpet" liner under full compression. A set of 245/35/18 tires should remedy that when the 245/40 are worn.

I have some TrakLite 18x8.5 Wheels with 255/35/18 Race Tires and 15mm Spacers for AutoXing. I did add some Aesthetic Flairs (Did not fit but with work got them to fit)...no rubbing!
Actually gonna probably either jump to some 18x9 Wheels for some 265/35/18 Tires...

Man.....this is CLEAN!

When you say these wheels "just" clear the brakes, how many MM are we talking?
I can't seem to find these wheels in this configuration anywhere. Is there a part number for these I could reference?

Appreciate the help!

Just got my new wheels sorted, they needed a bit more work to get the fitment right then I expected but I think the end result was worth it.

18x8.5" +43 König Ampliforms
225/40r18 Continental DWS 06 Plus tires front and rear
10mm spacer in the front, no spacer in the rear
Silver project camber plates to add 1.5 degrees of additional camber up front so they don't poke out from under the fenders
The car is lowered on NM springs
No rubbing on this set up and it clears the front caliper by about 2.5mm.

So no other alterations were needed? Just spacers? Just verifying. Having a hell of a time finding rims that fit.lol

Where did you get those flares? Did you need to cut down any metal for wheel clearance?
