I had ordered my JCW with the 18 Cross spoke, and there was a mistake in the filing of the order, so I got them with the black 17 Optima tires. The grip was poor (I don't drive in the rain, and store the vehicle in the winter), and the 17" oem rim and tire made the car looked jacked.

I always loved the look of the 18" Cross spoke, and they came with the Dunlop Summer Run flat tires. I have the Mini Rim and Tire protection plan, so I opted to get the rim and tires as a package and worked out a whole lot less money than buying the rims and purchasing my choice of summer tire. I am ok with the run flat technology because the car rides firm to start with, and the oem 17" rim and tires fits the specs of my MB B250 (and it rides really, really smooth) which it too is a run flat suspension setup.

Anyhoot, the tires are the Dunlop, the company owned by the Good Year Tire Company. I won the Good Year - Eagle F1 tire sticker kit, so I thought what better way to boy racer up the Chili Red JCW (I have the black belt line, the blacked out front bumper oval grille overlay, the JCW cover for the gas cap, and the chilli red front and rear headlamp tail lamp covers). Once I have two minutes of free time, I will install the Race Chip modules.

I thought it was edgy, perhaps too edgy. But the tire decal over lays are catching on big. I would not put them on a daily driver, but after one year and 3200km I don't mind the edgy racy look for the few times I roll.

Oh, and one more thing... if you want to save a whack of time (time is money) and money on tire dressing. I do the CarPro DLUX on all my tires (as well as rubber, and black body trim, and the mags). Before DLUX, you would need a harsh chemical to clean the tire side wall, and then apply tire dressing that would last all of one wet drive or two, EACH time you wash your car.

With the DLUX, once you prep (clean the tire) and apply it (one coat for semi gloss, two coats for shiny), you will never need to address the tires ever again. You wash your rims and tires like your vehicles body, and the tires stay clean and shiny like the day you applied the DLUX.

Cheers

Will 19 x 8 BBS rims fit on a JCW hardtop? Thanks!

As far as I know the only 19" wheel that fits the JCW is the AC Schnitzer wheel specific to the JCW. I'd be wary of anything else.....you will also need a tire aspect ratio of 35 to keep the same rolling dia.

Fwiw...

The JCW 18" cross spoke wheels run a 7Jx18 ET54 offset.

I have the factory tire size 205/40-18R tires, and run a 20mm front and rear spacer.

I have the factory tuned suspension, adjustable Eco-Mid-Sport... and have zero touching with 2 adults and a small kid (I live in pothole infested roads, which I avoid as much as possible).

So technically on 205mm, and 18", I am at 34mm offset... and I have room.

I've fitted 18x8 et 50 on coilover with minimal rubbing on hard turns.
19x8 with 225x35x18 tires should work but you're working with a lot less tire profile from stock. Curb wheel, harsh ride, or slow cautious driving is expected.

That looks great, MINI has 1 styles I believe are forged wheels and they are on the Countryman/ Paceman. Here is one of them. They stated they were forged when they came out and they feel lighter then most MINI wheels.

I dont know if the same JCW style for the F56 is forged. They look close to same design.

I thought i heard the vanity spokes MINI yours wheels were but I might be wrong. I know the Countryman/Paceman ones above were.

I never thought I'd say this but I think 18" is the best size for the F56 JCW! I'm not a fan of the 17's as they just look too small unless the car is lowered. I do wish there were more options out there without requiring spacers though. Probably not gonna happen. Personally I'd like to see BBS produce wheels to fit as they just look so sweet, but they would be pricey no doubt.

It's actually direct from a dealer. May have been a screenshot of their monitor. Price is quite reasonable compared to other JCW pro wheel/tire sets.

Can someone confirm the Enkei Wheels 17" RPF1 clears the BBK? Getting mix info. If fit, will wrap with 225/45/17 for autoX

Hi everyone - I've been researching these wheels and wanted to see if there was any additional info. Here's what I know so far: these appear to be the 534 Double Spoke wheels, 18x7 ET54 and are made to clear the JCW BBK. Also read these are ~20.8 lbs. and cast not forged. They are sold outside of the US (apparently including Canada) as an OEM option. These come in two colors: the black/metal pictured, and also a ferric gray (a regular BMW wheel color) - see attached image.

So, interested to see if these are in fact going to be more available in the US. I know ECS and others can get these...but it's a lengthy delivery process (~1 month). Just for replacement reasons if anything happened, would be much easier if these were more easily available in the US.

Thanks!

We can get both. The Matte Black we can get a couple days out. The Gray will have to come from germany. Once MINI starts selling more of these, they will stock in the US. I have seen a bunch of MINI wheels in my time. Once people want them and buy them from us, MINI starts putting in stocking orders for the US.

For those with nm RSe05 wheels...

Can someone help describe the Gunmetal and Satin Black choices for the nm RSe05? I've looked at tons of pictures of both, but different cameras, lighting, angles, etc. are providing more variances than answers.

My JCW F56 is Chili Red/Black, currently with black Track Spoke wheels. I like how my glossy black wheels compliment the black roof/mirrors. I'm questioning whether a) the satin black will be too dull or matte, and b) will the gunmetal be too light-colored. In other words...does the satin black have some gloss/shine, and is the gunmetal more of a dark or light gray?

Thanks!

Tried blowing that pic up to see wheel and tire size, but couldn't tell. Those look amazing. Can you share the wheel and tire size you've got there?
