These "painted" covers came from MINI Mania and I sent them my cores. They then sent the cores off to a motorcycle painter. They are the exact color of my IB MINI. Of course you can tell they are handpainted as there is a tiny overspray on the underside of one of the caps but only I know that I hope! LOL MINI Mania told me I was the first to order the side mirror caps. They now sell the OEM ones that MINI has.

I have the UJ RVM cover from MINI and it is plasticky and doesn't really match the rest of the car but at least its on the inside. I have been thinking about the door handle UJ covers but again, they are too close to the side mirrors and one would notice the difference. Suppose I need to send the handles off to a graphics painter as well.

I have both the OEM Mirror Covers and Door Handles.... and well... they fade.. REALLY FAST... SOOOOOO not impressed with them... They look great new... they really do...

The door handles are also a bit of a BI@#% to remove and replace again... make sure you have a ball end alan key set to make it a tad easier.

Hmmmmmm..... that's a LOT of UJ..........

But if they like it.... AWESOME!

(but I don't think I'll do that to MY clubman... )

Very cool idea, though - and very well executed.

Jason - Are those glued on to the door insert? They look very good. And no that not too much UJ either!

Yes, they are flags, that I spray glued to white felt to keep the colours vibrant.. then in turn, spray glued that to the door insert....

it was hard to get it in all the contours.. and 2 little spots I messsed up... but can barely see it... I'll be able to live it.. ain't THAT OCD... he he

Blimey, I wanted to have the grand unveiling at the fall Dragon.. well the GRAND US unveiling, I did it for the MGLC cruise we did in Sept...

Those door inserts are absolutely incredible! Night and day difference.

Someone on NAM had posted these UJ gloves:

http://brazimoto.com/gloves-brit.htm

Anyone get them, besides me? They're really nice. I use them while driving my scooter. I wanna wear them on my daily MINI commute, but my daughter said it would be ridiculous. She's 10. What does she know!?

So you like the gloves, eh? How do the sizes seem to run? I have pretty beefy hands... I usually wear XL or XXL gloves...

Might go on my Christmas list...

I gotta see what size I ordered. I have average-size hands I guess. They seemed a tiny bit big in the fingers, but once they got rained on, shrunk a bit and are pretty close to perfect.

Xiek, don't be so hard on yourself. You're the most average MINI driving Union Jack obsessed giant gay Canuck I know.

I just purchased a UJed car (mirror caps including internal rear view mirror, & door handles). It might be too much for me. Anyone want to trade me UJ mirror caps for checkered ones, or chrome, red, or white? These are the powerfold mirror caps.

tx,

Yep, in that category, Xiek is as average as a person can be. Otherwise, he's in a class of his own.

Your new door panels look great, Xiek. That's a great idea and looks like you did a great job installing them.

I just decided on my next two Union Jack ideas and have sent the idea off to get them made. I've been thinking about them for a while but now that I've made the final decision, I can't wait to get them.

I FINALLY found a Black Union Jack interior mirror cover! Plus I have filled that black hole void of a cup holder with some Black Union Jack too!

This brings my interior count up to 6 UJ's...still along way to go to catch up with some of you, but I have to start somewhere!

(mirror cover is from www.derekwoodmanmini.co.uk and the cup holder liner is from Aesthetic Creations)

I emailed the company about the gloves, and they have not yet replied, that was a while ago... anyone else have issues with them?
