Interior/Exterior The Union Jack-ification Thread
No I can't. Not only are they too much, but they are too big for my tastes. Now a 16", or even a 17" I might consider, but IMO 18" is too big for the proportions of a MINI. Like I said - my opinion only, not trying to dis' you 18'ers.
But can we all agree that 20's are just too frigging big - please!

More Blimey Leather!
New stuff - OK, not Union Jacks, but part of my UJ theme, for sure.
This is the MINI "Euro" aftermarket armrest - Maciek at Redline Goods hadn't seen one of these before, and didn't have a template for it. So I had to send the pad to POLAND to have it fitted. Had to drive around for a few weeks without a pad on the armrest - but it was worth it!
And now he has a template if YOU want one...

Of course, I couldn't stop there - so I had him make door armrests, too! With the boots and the center armrest, it really livens up the interior - WAY better than the OEM door armrests. The flash makes all the colors a little funky (the paint and the leather) - but they look VERY good together in person.

And the door armrests, combined with my door sills, make the entry a welcome to Union Jack land...

I just got my new Union Jack piece a few days ago. It looks really good, but I won't be able to post pics until next week when I am home again. So for now it will stay secret. But I will say that it has definitely never been done before. So stand by.

Not a lot of the Union Jack as my wife pulls my reigns back with this stuff but I did manage to squeak in the rearview mirror cover ( as in before with my LY 02) and the little flags with the checker flag on the rear and sides under the "S" logo.
I need to take a current picture...
But I have the mirror caps, rear mirror cap, door handles, front 1/4 panel, wheel centre caps, valve stems, floor mats, roof decal, rear hatch handle cover, gauge faces, check/UJ plate, front bumper grill, I think that is it....
I have a few other ideas for more UJ's as well..

Jason - You're a sick, demented, twisted, hopeless UJ tool... but I love you anyway...

I'd love to see your "official" count - I have 25 bona-fide UJ's now, and several other things (stripes, leather, etc) that have the colors but not the flag. Looks like you might have about the same count... but our cars are soooo different - some of yours are much more obvious....

I wish the door panels came apart easier (or at all)...it's be great to place a UJ within the entire door panel inset. I saw this on a classic Mini and it was great to flash the UJ every time one opened the doors!!
I guess you could say that some of mine are a bit more "flamboyant" :P
BTW, I love the new additions to your MINI. Those look great.FWIW, I've got another idea for a UJ on the little orange Cooper.
Yep, my wife just rolled her eyes and sighed.

Hey Mike! Can't wait to see you guys - 7 more weeks. Hope to spend more time with you this year! I'll be much more "immersed" in MOTD than I was last year... I'm intrigued by your UJ tease...
Jason - love the winter look - especially the steelies.
Not much snow for us this winter, unfortunately...
