Does anyone make an insert for the area around the rear licesnse plate?

Like the GP has? I know MSFITOY painted his, but I was wondering about an insert, either black abs or carbon fiber?

I've seen that one. I guess I was hoping for something that was a little flatter and followed the contors of the sheet metal.

Mini Mania sells a chrome one...not my thing, but you can get that, sand it and prime and paint it. Already made to fit, just needs to be made black, or you can have someone do a carbon fiber overlay.

That may be the way to go. I did see the chrome one, but I may just have to try it, for the price. Reasonable experiment. If anyone knows of a black or CF one, lemme know.

I have looked for a paintable one for almost 4 years, and the only one I have seen is the chrome one. I have considered painting it white.....but in the end, I just left the car alone back there. I might consider a less Pontiac looking one in carbon...the M7 is just too much over the top for my taste.

Carbon would be sweet, for sure.

Why not use a carbon print on vinyl to cover the area.

cuz I think that print stuff vinyl looks cheap, cheap, cheap. If you are gonna do it, do it right. Just my opinion and personal taste. Some are OK with it, but to me, it looks like high school ricer, AutoZone, PepBoys trash....that was on sale, for $1. Never been a fan of the "carbon look" vinyls.

What if you just used a black vinyl? It's cheap and easy.
