Interior/Exterior Palo Uber Tuner Lugs; what's up?
Not inapplicable, but thinking you have been fooled, as opposed to simply having a problem they are willing to address and finally resolve, still requires some conjecture until all the cards are down.
Once I see how they finally straighten out this lug problem, I will know more; I am hoping for the best, although I know a good end result will come as a surprise to many.
I gotta ask...
blackie = Job (of biblical fame)?
or
blackie = Sisyphus? The way you put up with the PU's antics surely is a he!!ish task.

Normally, I am a pretty impatient sort, but I think that I have reason to be hopeful based on both the e-mails and telephone conversations I have had with PU over the past several weeks, as well as based on some of the other PU products I have seen up close where the quality has obviously been up to snuff, so I think there has to be more to this story. I could well turn out to be wrong here, but I really pity them if I am ultimately disappointed in the resolution, because they will have never encountered a more persistent person than me.
PU sent me 2 sets of lugs & both sets rusted immediately after washing the car. I gave up because they wouldn't return calls/reply to e-mails after they sent the second set of rusty lugs...
That's pretty awful that they gave up on you after the second set

So this is now 6 bad batches that we know of (assuming of course that they would remove the bad batch once they were informed). I haven't heard of any good batches yet.
If they send me the same set, after promising something different, well that would put a whole new spin on things.
I really doubt they would be that foolish or arrogant.
I already have a dialogue open with my credit card issuer, as long as PU is trying to resolve the problem the credit card issuer will give them the benefit of the doubt, as will I.
However, if they were to try to send me the very same type of lugs, or different ones that result in the same rust problem, it will be 3 strikes and they will be called out in my book (at least as far as this particular product goes).
I will then politely request a refund and offer to return all their rusted lugs, as well as the wrench set(s) for credit too and if not forthcoming I'll get the matter into a formal dispute with the credit card issuer, which undoubtedly will result in an initial or maybe even a subsequent round of denials, but I have the documentation all stacking up at this point.
With persistence, I'll get equity.
Of course, I simply hope they make good
and that none of this is needed, but I am prepared for this to go either way just based on the number of folks who say they didn't get a usable product or their money back. I tend to think they just gave up or didn't try hard enough (or don't know the credit card dispute system well enough to use it properly).
As to other PU products, I can certainly understand the thinking said a few times here in different ways (i.e., if you keep dealing with PU - paraphrasing the song "Next Time You See Me" - "if it hurts you my darlin', you only got yourself to blame").
Frankly, I have another transaction going that has been around the block twice already and is in round three. If you have read the hood scoop review section, I purchased a used M7 CF Ram Intake that had some issues to resolve (and were by M7, even though the scoop was second-hand, very satisfactorily), but also the "new" PU CF too. That scoop came to me twice already with a PU gold badge that was off-center, each time (the first was very noticeable, but the second was less so, even if still visible when looked at juxtaposed to the MINI hood emblem). The scoop itself is really fantastic looking (assuming you like the larger than stock, air-gobbling look of it) in terms of the carbon fiber weave. Whether or not it is truly of "aircraft quality" I will leave to those with time on their hands to test it out (or the money to saw it in half, just for the thrill of it), but it certainly comes off as the highest quality CF I have seen in MINI parts so far (and I have some from M7, as well as Mini Cooper's own stock down tubes) on my own vehicle or on other MINI owner's cars. It also attaches to the hood in a way that I felt was superior to the system found on my M7 version (as well as the stock one, which being lighter in weight really does not require the sort of system employed with the PU scoop).
So round three has me waiting on an un-badged version of this CF scoop, which will eliminate the issue of the badge not lining up perfectly to the MINI hood emblem (and my suggestion to others is that they go the same route, unless they find the gold PU badge works with the coloring of their MINI and they are willing to take a chance on the badging lining up exactly to their level of fussiness). I know, some will say, "How can you even cut PU any slack over a badge that is even minimally off-center"? Well, I didn't, which is why I returned two of them and am going the un-badged route. However, maybe I just caught a hold of the only two bad ones ever badged!

You don't see anything endemic in their products when 2 of them had to back 2 times?
You must really like this stuff, I'm sorry but just reading about what you are going through turns me off for anything they do even if I didn't know any of the back story that others have gone through.

Agreed.....even when they finally got a "good" one....i wouldn't want such low quality parts on my car. Definitely not my thing..
I doubt anyone wants low-quality parts and nothing I said should suggest I would want them either.
I also do not enjoy this sort of fencing and gamesmanship I have had to go through, but I know how to play when required.
All I'm doing at this point is giving them one final round to make both of these situations right;
either the lugs will be acceptable or they will not be and if not they'll be returned for credit.
As to the hood scoop, that one should be easy for them to fix, as all I need is one sent to me un-badged, which they now offer (and again, I do not doubt that it was my feedback that the badge came to me off-center twice, as well as is not ideal in gold, when the close-by MINI hood emblem is in silver and black, that caused them to start offering it this way).We are apparently seeing something totally different with this hood scoop they now make, for whatever reason.
I'd defy any of the regular PU detractors (or anyone else for that matter) to examine the PU scoop against any alternative one and conclude that it is NOT a quality part (the PU badge color and their placement process sure leaves something to be desired, so get it unbadged). I recall the post, but I do not think it was a PU scoop they were speaking about in it. Maybe one of us can find it.
I'll keep setting you up and you keep knocking them out. BTW, the scoops themselves were fine, but whoever applied the badges must have been ****-eyed or hitting the 19th hole a little early that day.
OK, another opening for getting slammed. Obviously, until they work these 2 situations out to my satisfaction, I am on hold as far as buying anything from them. As I said, they'll either work out both on this third round (and frankly, working out the scoop should be easy for them; all they have to do is send me an unbadged one) or they will get the stuff back and I'll be done with them and they will have created one more dedicated detractor. Considering that every other NAMer with any nice words to say about them has been called a shill or worse, they probably are wise to make this work for me (and for them).
The whole badge placement on the scoop bit adds more. If this company was quality conscience as they claim then a simple matter of a centered badge would not be beyond their ability.
AND....
If the designer has so great an eye to be a "World renown "Artist"" then wouldn't he/she/it notice that the placement of a gold badge so close to the black and silver one would be a coloring faux pax.
About the only I've seen this company do right is the light bar, but I could be wrong, they may have knackered that up too.
