A couple times a week an older lady in a very pretty ice blue Mini passes me. I always wave at her, but its like she is paying no attention to other cars. Seems to be in her own world. I will continue to wave DAMMIT, until I get one back!!!

It saddens me that no one in my area waves. I just keep waving anyway. Next weekend there is a rally up to my local winery in Warwick NY , I am hoping to get a few waves then.

Old women and, I hate to say it, Countryman owners, are pretty bad about not waving.

Then again, there was a guy in his 30s in an R53 I tried to get a wave from for months and I know he saw me too a few times a week coming and going from work but no dice. It all comes down to why people bought the car, I think. Unfortunately, for some I think they put the MINI alongside a number of small cars in their purchasing decision and neither care nor realize the cultural aspect of choosing a MINI. I wish these individuals would buy a Yaris or IQ or Smart or other econohatch.

I turned 59 in March and am awaiting the delivery of my first MINI, after wanting one for the past ten years.

There's lots of MINIs here in Sunnyvista, and everybody waves...

...or is that just the Parkinson's?

I'm "older" and I wave! or at least look to see if they're looking first. Most of the time I'm going too fast and just flash brights, hazards or beep as I fly by I may BE old but I don't DRIVE old So if an electric blue flies past you wave because I DO look in my mirror

Was driving home from work the other day and I was actually in my Justa when I met another Cooper coming the other way... I waved at her and (I was shocked) that she actually waved back at me, and actually looked happy about it! That was the first time in a LOOOOONG time I've had anyone wave back...

Then the next day, another Mini owner didnt even acknowledge my existance...

So, that puts me about 50% return on my investment.

Here's the dorkery:
I keep waving at MINI drivers and they look at me like I'm a dope. Then I remember I'm driving around in a loaner 2002 Civic while waiting for my third MINI to be delivered. So I'm THAT guy.
It happens when I'm on my bike as well... which is the majority of my week....
dorkery!

I stopped waving unless the other person waves at me first. I use to always wave at other MINI drivers but never gotten a wave back, but if someone waves, I smile and wave back. I think most of the MINI owners in SoCal don't like waving, but there are a few of us left I guess.

I wave at all MINIs. Now whether or not people wave back is another matter. Lately, only a handful do, and the rest don't care as much.

There are times when I'm going in one direction, and another MINI in another, and because we're separated by a median, all I can do really is stare at them. Sometimes though, he/she stares back at me, so there is that mutual understanding right there.

As long as I drive a MINI, I'll wave.

I have had the cubbie for a couple of months now and not one wave. Yesterday made up for it when a guy stopped near me in the parking lot, rolled down his window, and yelled, "welcome to the club, man!"

Awesome!!

I saw another CMS the other day and waved excitedly. I didn't think the other guy was going to wave, but he finally did!
AB with red sport stripes! Great look!

Not in my MINI, but I was riding my motorcycle/sidecar rig past a park yesterday, there was a school bus alongside the road with about 30 third graders waiting to board,

They all waved at me!

Nice ride! What year? Saw one similar to it recently at a BMW dealer in St. Louis

Thanks! It's a 2000 Dnepr, made in Ukraine. They were the old Soviet military motorcycles. They are a kind of roundabout evolution of the WWII BMW German army bikes.
