What did you do to your mini today?
J
Thanks!..Yea hopefully she will get a bath tomorrow.
Unfortunately, I have a memory like an elephant. Which probably means I'm going to end up living on peanuts.
Thanks!! I stalked the mail all day today cause i knew it was coming! I see you have a few badges too! What are yours stand for... anything special?
BTW.. thanks for saying you liked it... you were the first ♥

so finally, one week from the opening event, i took Gollum up to the practice area and got some of the rust off...
a large large lot, and about 10 cones discarded as too beaten up at the end of last season are all that is required
warmed the tires and brakes, and began to re-learn the delicate art of staying near the traction limit
winding and unwinding, squeezing, trying to feel that traction circle again
it was good to be back in the belts, and to take some rubber off of last year's Direzzas - which seem to have a surprising amount of grip given their age and the temperature at the time
i cannot wait to walk the first course of the new year down at Devens next Sunday (hope it does not snow!)

Replaced a broken headlight washer, and replaced the missing headlight washer cover (they were like that when my wife bought the car, so it finally looks like it should
). Gave the trim its first Black Wow treatment. All I can say is "WOW"!
Drivers side front wheel bearing is now shiny and new. No more rumbling in turns...of course, now I sort of hear something from the rear...
Awesome tip from Marquette mini saved me loads of time. I just used a large nut and some scrap 1/8 steel.

I also had no reverse light. I was going to replace the bulb but I read here it is usually the switch on the transmission, so for $9 I figured it was easier than wedging my big hand to get the bulb. Not to mention that with the drivers tire off, it is right there. It took me longer to get up and get the part out of the box than it did to install.... it will be nice to have light in reverse.
