Installed a 22 mm rear sway bar in my 08 R56. I could not believe how easy it was to install. I don't think there are too many cars that can keep with it into the corners now!
It feels absolutely flat into the turns!

I had to google to see where a sway bar goes. Does the trailer hitch that I've installed provide any of this same corner stiffening? (Prob not, but I thought I'd ask.)

escape from New York

Today is a nice overcast day. Mini could not stay still and wanting to go drive in the twisties. I thought why not go get a New York style pizza. I used to live close to Escape From New York Pizza, but no more. It dawn on me that instead of fighting the bad traffic of Portland, I can take another route which consists of a section of twisties up the hill and down to where the Pizzeria is.

It was not the best time so I drove cautiously despite Mini kept wanting to go faster. We had the headlights on for the trip. You just don't know what can pop out of the blind curves. We got there within the minute the Pizza is scheduled to be ready. 20 minutes there and 20 minutes for the return trip. Most of the challenge is dodging bad potholes.

Escape From New York is one of the very few places that I would want a pizza.

Hitch isn't connected to any wheels and is outside of the wheelbase. Zero performance benefit.

Thanks to both answerers. I didn't realize in the video that the stabilizer was actually connected to the wheels. (And that that mattered!) Oh well!

Received coils and spark plugs from WMW for the R56.
Swapped them out and it ran great - glad it wasn't the fuel pump.

My daughter was out telling her Coop' how much she missed it tonight

Speaking of this --- I've inherited an RV (van w engine, not a towable) that hasn't been run for 4 years. Does one need to do anything special to an engine before starting it?

(Starting it isn't an option anyway, since the battery is totally flat. Plus, the brakes were shot when parked; it was towed into place.)

before you start it I'd personally donate it to me.

as long as it has oil and coolant in there I wouldn't stress too much if it's just turning it over, but best practice would be fresh oil and fuel at least.

Oh -- you ARE in my area! I'm looking for $13,000 for a 2004 Roadtrek 190 Popular, about 83k miles. Needs brakes, battery .... and all RV functions are unknown (AC, heater, generator, plumbing, refrig, gas stove, microwave). They list for about twice this (and with 125K miles, too). But this needs a lot of work ....

Just about finishing up on my upgrades to my mini since I blew up the turbo.

Here is the list of added/replaced parts

Catless downpipe heat wrapped
New turbo exhaust manifold heat wrapped
New K04 dominator gt45 turbo
Radiator and all new hoses
Sneed speed oil cooler
WMW turbo heat blanket
Fabricated tower brace
2 1/4" aluminum cold side boost tube
Set of 2 degree colder spark plugs
6UL 15x8 wheels with 225/50ZR15 Toyo Proxes RR race tires (13lbs lighter than old 18" wheels)

Still lacking the last few pieces of piping for my CAI. Mariokart I haven't forgot about you this just took longer than I thought. I'll be calling you in a few weeks for that ECU tune.

Then on the scales for a corner balance and out to the track for testing. Can't wait!

Finally installed my Brey Krause fire extinguisher bracket.
I plan to get an extinguisher that's a little bigger.

Kudos on your fun drive, but that pizza looks very disappointing.

The photo does not do justice to the cheese pie from this place. Their pizza is the only one that I would order. I drove over the hills on the back roads to the other side of town just to get one. They have much better dough, sauce, and ingredients over the run of the mill places nearby my home.

Seriously read what they say on the box:

performed air filter test

I want the best for my street car named Desire. Today I devised a simple test fixture to compare the flow restriction between the stock air filter, and a K&N drop-in panel filter. I chose K&N because it is made of high quality cotton gauze - like those used in aviation.

my neighbor wanted to see the result of my experiment

And you can find out which is the winner here.

I'll give it a go, my son & daughter both say it's pretty good but then again they didn't grow up on real NY pizza. Usually I just make my own.
