Thanks guys! I'm loving it too! I'm in Babylon on Long Island, and it ran just over $200 after taxes.

The only thing now is that my driver/passenger windows are darker than my sunroof.... guess I have to get that a little darker now too -_-

I didn't do this today BUT, I did do it the past few weeks I've had off of work!
-I ordered clear tail lights and made them completely red (matched the third brake light)
-Aero Grille (color matched)
-Bunch of stuff under hood!

She drove me home, on the twisty, hilly backroads that is my usual commute, with a bunch of spirited drivers in their "regular" small coupes (Honda, Mitsubishi, toyota, ford, etc) . We had fun, I just looked better doing it

I installed my Alta CAI that came in yesterday... took it for a drive, sounded beautiful, amazing throttle response. Tested the 0-60 and quarter mile. Averaged for the 0-60 5.6 seconds. Quarter mile was about 13.6.

Then..... I let my girlfriend drive my MINI (6-speed) around the neighborhood and then to our local Target. Her first time out of the neighborhood and on the real road. She did great though, didn't stall once. What can I say... I guess I'm just a great teacher.

.......................I was on the edge of my seat at one point, peeing-my-pants nervous when she got stopped on a hill with a car behind her. Again, she did an awesome job though.

wow those look like some quality ***** and at a great price point. i have a stock shifter with the helix short shift adaptor, so to make it work, (and i have almost done this already) pull my shifter out and chop a good portion off the top, and weld back on a bolt or a piece of all-thread with the right thread pattern.

i think i might actually do this now.

that 5.5" one would be badass, and i can set the overall height where ever i want.

BUT does anybody know what type of metal the stock shifter is made of??????

Well how do you like that - we ain't so far apart, NavyNUKE. If you ever have a need to go to a local muscle car gathering - we have one here in Riverhead down at the river front every Thursday evening. Maybe we could meet up and have a MINI presence - they waved me in to park with the crew once when I had another MINI with me.

Went and paid a visit to the body shop where he's resided for two+ weeks now. Damned if it isn't still sittin' there unfinished. Dead battery and all... S**T! Hopefully those parts got ordered today or Monday isn't gonna look too good for anybody.

Drove downtown today and had a cabbie cut me off in the front. Had to slam on the brakes to avoid and I see in my rear view mirror the damn delivery van that was tailgating me for blocks made a sudden left turn and almost hit me in the rear. The van moron ended up swerving into the wrong lane and decided to just keep driving a while in the opposite traffic lane to make his turn. So basically almost lost the right front fender by a cab and left rear fender by a damn van.

Gotta love driving in Toronto.

On a positive note, I put a deposit down for a 2012 JCW this week. Those JCW brakes will come in handy I guess.
