Pick Six NAM F1 Fantasy league

OK F1 fans, here is your chance to make a custom league on the pick six Formula one fantasy game. First go to www.picksix.com and register. Then return here and post your picksix username I will send the list of people wanting to form a private league to the little comish and he will setup a private league for us. You will also compete against the world at the same time.

Instead of the traditional F1 fantasy game where you have a budget and must pick chassis, engine, driver, tires Pick Six asks you to pick the top six finishers for each grand prix. You earn points based upon how your choices finish. 10 points for exact position 6 points for one place away 5 points for two places away.... There are also bonus points to be earned for exactas, trifectas etc. Pick Six makes each race even more exciting as you are not only watching your favorite driver, team etc, you are watching for the finishing orders of six cars! Picking the winner may be easy [just pick Schumi and you will be right the majority of the time], but getting 4th through 6th can be quite difficult.

We will need to come up with a name for the league..

My name is bee1000 (same as on NAM, minus the little "n" at the end).

I name my fantasy teams and picks on ESPN "The Worst" since anything better than last place means I've improved on my prediction. Take it or leave as the name of our group!

OK I am in, Grumpy and bee1000(n) are also in.

I need to hear from:
 • CooperSDriver
 • DrkSilver163
I need you Pick Six screen names.

I will monitor this topic and send in the list to the little comish about 2-3 weeks before the first race. That way we still have time to decide upon a league name.

Thanks DarkSilver163!

We still need to hear from CooperSDriver with his pick six screen name.

There is still plenty of time to recruit others. Remember picks must be in one hour before the race starts.

I'm in, too. Sketchedin is my Pick6 Name, just like on NAM. The only league names I can think of right now are: Open-wheel Motoring or Open-wheel Motorers. Not that great, though.

That has a nice ring to it, and a nice subtle tie-in to the MINI.

We're not getting much feedback, so I say just go with anything you'd like!

OK that makes 9 confirmed. I still need a screen name for CooperSDriver If he confirms that makes 10.

I may have to do a poll and have all of you vote for the league name. We still have plenty of time to join up and get a name. We should start working on the name as of next week. That way the little Comish can set up the league.

Just a little time left....

ggp: I sent you a private message and E-mailed the little commish with your Pick Six Name. Go ahead and get your picks in for the race and the little commish will get you transfered over.

CooperSDriver: If you still want in on the fun, Let me know or e-mail the little commish at commish@picksix.com with your Pick Six Name and let him know you want in on the NAM F1 Challenge. You would make it 11 people!

Remember that although the main competition is our private league, by clicking on Overall F1 results, you can see how you are doing against Melbourne and Torra Ain't No Borra as well.

I e-mailed the Little Commish and he should get you in. Get your picks in and he should be able to move you to the NAM F1 Challenge at any time.

Ummm, I'm confused. I picked about a week ago. I just checked and everyone is listed, but adame (who picked on 18 Feb) and I are the only ones with picks showing...just like the last few times I checked. I've been wondering why no one else is submitting picks...

Whew! I saw the post that said I had to make my picks and was all nervous. As stated, I've made my picks and just the other day I was only able to see mine and one other's. Do I (we) have to do something different to get in and make our picks? Maybe we made our picks before the group was set up?

I'll go take another look - it won't be long now!!

adame and krvhugr,

I just went to the site and noticed that you two signed up for the Australian GP on 3/6/2006 while the rest of us signed up for the GP on 3/6/ 2005. Go back to pick six and re-enter for the proper year. I have no idea why there would be an anomoly like this on their board.
