I wonder if they are going to adjust the results now that BAR have been disqualified from the last race
My result will hurt, but I hope others will hurt more
Come on top ten
Really looking forward to Barcelona...looks like Alonso is not enjoying the added media attention...Welcome to Schumacher land Alonso

In the past the Little Comish has adjusted points but after all the brewhaha is over.
Qualifying round 1 is just about to start. Speed has a graphic of the BAR fuel tank on as I type this.

Looks like mgcman has the best picks for this race. 40+ points by my estimation he will be in the top 2 places for the league
Schumi must be thinking retirement 3 DNFs in 6 races! Ferrari must be regretting sucking up to Bernie and his stupid rules changes. Will Trulli or Ralphie boy give Toyota its first win? Is the McLarren come back for real or just a small fluke?
Can't wait for Monaco!

Just like Giacomo, mounting a charge through the field
The gods of speed have been smiling down in my general direction of late, first the BAR disqualifications improved my pathetic score at Imola to, if not anything to write home about, at least double digits; and now Barcelona was magic for me: 47 big ones and moving into the top 10 overall.
Still, it's a long season and much adventure awaits. Hope to keep up on the coming races, but there are just so many teams in the running, potential winners all.
Good luck to fellow players.

p.s. Hey, ggp, you in the Melbourne league? What's your handle?

NEVER give up. NEVER give up. If you have to atleast get a pick in based on first round qualifying. It is not the best but it's sure better than no pick or just a random guess!
Get a first time winner and you can get a big gap.

Agreed,
This season is so wild anyway with at least six teams potential winners: Renault, McLaren, Ferrari, Toyota, BAR and Williams that any kind of WAG has a chance to pay off big time. The tire wars really haven't been what I was expecting (has Bridgestone given up?)but when they get their mojo back, Ferrari will come on strong! Even the lesser teams of Sauber and Red Bull stand a good chance of placing in the third to sixth slot each and every race. Pity poor Jordan and Minardi though, maybe there's a place in the IRL for them.

After the Dominance of the Ferrari team over the last years... who could have ever dreamed Ferrari have such a bad start? Who could have imagined the equalization of the teams that one set of tires the whole weekend has done. Judging by the last season I would have expected better from BAR but who had any idea about Renault and Toyota has shown strong signs basically filling BAR's role from last season.
Jenson will be at Williams next year but who's engine will the team have? Customer BMW's?
One thing for certain this year Schumi in the win may not be the best points pick. Perhaps 2nd or third position so as to broaden your chances on how to earn points? Yea I have a thing for World Champions and Indy 500 winners in Formula one, but I don't pick JV for a top 6 or Montoya for the win much either.

This game is really fun because I find myself rooting for all of the top six of my choices during the race. It's kind of weird rooting against my obvious favorite driver and cheering on say Weber for 6th place when I don't normally care about 6th spot.
I was doing pretty good until the Fisi, JP and Schuey all had problems during the race
There is no hope for Ferrari at Monaco because you can't pass anyone during the "parade"

Monaco.. The track... The boats... The Bathing suits (or lack there of!
)... The one race I would most wish to attend outside the Brittish GP.
There is still time to get your picks in!

The European Grand prix. The New Nurburgring. Too bad they dont run on the the original Nordschleife circuit full 14 miles in length . If the cars can handle the banking at Indy (ok Ralphie boy and Rubens can't handle the banking as they have hit the wall at Indy!) they should be able to handle the original track's carousel (sp?).

On second thought, lets open up the Nordschleife this sounds exciting! Now if we can eliminate the safety car from making full laps, or gust go back to partial course yellow flags.
Anybody bored by this one?
I guess I'm not a good judge of excitement level because I wasn't even bored last year, but I'm certainly enjoying the 05 season....and I'm a Ferrari fan!
I feel sorry for Kimi, but I was also looking forward to his 10 points making the championship even closer. Oh well, this is the longest season on record so there's plenty of time. Kimi was done in by the single set of tires rule. He could have legally changed that one when it started to come apart (and probably still made it to the podium), but they decided to roll the dice....and lost.
According to the team, Webber was on a heavy fuel load, so it would have been very interesting to see how his race played out relative to Heidfeld's 3-stop. He had a pretty good explanation for the melee at the opening turn 1, but in the end he allowed himself to be distracted and misjudged the braking.
If Coulthard is to be believed, he planned that excellent first corner move....claims he told the team he expected problems so he was going to hug the inside line just in case. I've seen him do that before, but I'm sure it's the first time it's paid off with so many positions!
Farrari is showing signs of a revival....or is it Bridgestone that's finally getting in the game? Either way, Ferrari is making a bit of headway on the points charts. I don't care if you like or dislike Ferrari (seems like it's either love or hate these days....no middle ground), it's great to see them becoming yet another contender for position. You can't argue that greater competition makes for better races and a more entertaining championship race.
BAR/Honda's result didn't surprise me much. On the other hand, I was surprised to see them both finish. After all, their biggest problem last year was engine reliability, yet Button made it to the end with that "old" engine. I figure they'll be a bit more on form by Canada.

Holy crap! Thanks to attrition we put in a pathetic performance this week. The way I see it the 6 of us who made picks are all stuck with the scraps left from Raikkonen and M. Schumacher making it to the finish.
Adame should be surprised. His comment was "Sorry for the poor picks! I'm outta town..." but he gets more points than the rest of us because he's the only one who picked Kimi to win!

Scraps indeed, with the accent on the second syllable, scraps!
But look on the bright side, if it wasn't for over driving (Alonso and Button) and the brain dead (Mercedes pit crew - Montoya) we just might have gotten decent points.
Hey boys, leave that stupid stuff north of the border, I want a predictable race next week, where I can collect at least thirty points.

On the plus side, it looks like everyone else picked just about as well as we did. Oh well, if it was easy (if outcomes were relatively predictable) the races/season would be rather less interesting...right?
Canada was devistating
That was brutal. I did very poor!
Well this time the race is in my back yard! I live 15 minutes from the track. If I only had the $$$ and time off from work to attend the festivities!

22 cars or only 6?
What you all waiting on?? To see if it will be a 22 car field or if it will be a 6 car field. Might be much easier to get big points if it were only a six car field!

Remember Monaco '96? I think there were only four cars on the circuit at the race's end.
