PreLCI LED Tailights on LCI car with Union Jack.

Hi,

I know it’s possible to retrofit the LCI Union Jack taillights into a pre-LCI car that already has LED taillights. It’s just a matter of changing one cable from PINx to x, code the retrofit and done.

My question is. Has anybody installed the LED taillights of a preLCI car into a LCI car that comes with the Union Jack taillights? Will it be plug and play?

thanks

Hi.

Thank you, but what I want to know is if a LCI accepts preLCI taillights, not if I can install LCI Lights on a preLCI which I now it’s possible via the official BMW retrofit or the unofficial lights of that thread.

I would imagine you would need to follow the same procedure in reverse, and swap the wire in the opposite direction and recode? Not speaking from experience, just postulating...

I've also got a pair of preLCI LEDs to sell... and that's why I need to know if they work on LCI cars..... to see if I can also sell them to someone who has a LCI car or only to someone that has a preLCI one.....

My guess is you have to swap the reverse on the pin.
