My order was entered on 7/25...the car arrived in Baltimore on 8/22. I was estactic that things were moving so quickly at first and then went splat against the wall for the last five weeks.

 

I asked MINI USA about the accessories credit that some folks have reported receiving. Rep said he knows nothing about that, but he did say my car was released to carrier today. I asked if he knew when it would get to the dealer - he did not. I have not heard anything from the dealer yet. From other's experience, I know if it is currently on a truck, it will be at the dealer next week. Depending on the timing though I might not be able to pick it up before the weekend, even if it is ready, due to being out of town. Hoping all is ready early in the week.

 

My MA called and said all the 2015 Hardtops were released and would be traveling to dealers. Transport is expected to get mine to dealer by Oct 9 or 10th and be ready for pickup the 13th. Car is a 2015 Hardtop Mini Cooper S and dealer is in Austin tex.

 

ATX here. When did you order and what date does your OL say?

 

I happened to stop by the MINI dealer near LAX in the South Bay (Los Angeles) today and I saw at least three trucks of 2015 Cooper Hardtops being unloaded. No S models.

 

I called my dealer today, apparently my MINI was supposed to be there yesterday, and it still isn't there.

Was told a few more days, most likely mid next week.

In better news, I received my Platypus mount!

 

OL says the 9th. Dealer says maybe a week from that date due to Auto S delay. ASKMINI is no longer helpful. Maybe I'll stop by the dealer for a test drive so I can get my foot down.

 

Sooooooo, I drove by the MINI dealer today and I, too, saw the big car carrier out back. However, I am so disappointment averse that I didn't stop to make sure StellaLuna had been on it.

I did call out her name, she didn't answer with a "Beep, Beep" back but maybe she was busy getting her satellite radio and scuttles installed (Thanks MINI).

I will give it until 10/10 before I allow madness to take over.

 

I hope StellaLuna (love the name & book even have a stuffed StellaLuna, I'm a bat lover!) is there! It does take a day or two for prep. Mine won't be in until Monday, was supposed to pickup on Tuesday but due to scheduling conflict on our part I'm picking up on Wednesday. Was a little bummed when I realised we couldn't rearrange our schedule, but I've waited this long, one more day isn't going to matter. Besides gives them more time to really spiff up my baby! Now to think of a name... When I drive her I'm sure her personality will reveal itself. Good luck!

 

Dealership said my wife's car showed up today and we are planning to pick it up Tuesday night.
I'm not sure where mine is though since Ask Mini said mine was leaving yesterday and should have shown up today.
I want my mini so bad!!!

 

So I've been checking OL daily, and over the past 3 days I've noticed the estimated delivery date changes to the previous day if it doesn't arrive.

So now on 10/5 its expected to arrive 10/4.

 

We stopped in the dealership Saturday.... they tell us the car has still not left the VDC, although ASK-MINI said on Thursday it has left. If I call the automated number it says it is back in Southampton. I don't think they know where it is. The OL still says 6 Oct.

The manager tells me that they moved the cars to a facility in Florida to store them and that they need to be picked up from there.

I asked about loading the new engine ECU software. The dealer tells me that they will check the software and if there is newer software they will load it. They also tell me they do not drill the front bumper for a license plate unless the customer asks them to.

I guess we wait and see what happens on the 6th.

 

My estimated delivery date went from 10-5 to 10-9. I was hoping to be driving the car by then.

PGQ...maybe it's because I don't have kids, but, I had never heard the fruit bat story until a few weeks ago. StellaLuna has gone thru a bit of an identity event, she used to be a dude named Beau Cooper (beaucoup), then she became StellaBeau, then StellaLuna

You're right, her personality will reveal her perfect name.

 

Here's the back of the T-shirt. The front will be posted later as it's a giveaway to my arrangement with Mini for my "compensation" for the delay.

The shirt turned out well, but I could have chosen some better ink colors for the EPA lettering on the sleeve as you have to be up close to see it well (and it doesn't show in this picture).

It's funny, but I paid an extra $12 for rush processing and shipping to get it here for what I had hoped would be a Saturday car delivery, but as of now, I still have no delivery date in the owners lounge or from the dealer.

I stopped by the dealer yesterday (without the shirt). They received one 2015 F56 on Friday, but it wasn't a customer car, and they didn't even know it was coming. Apparently there's some delivery advisory sheet that shows the cars and their status (such as released to carrier), and the car that showed up wasn't listed as released to the carrier. MA said as he understood it, Mini had rented some indoor hanger space to store cars, and it could well be that some of the later stored cars need to be shipped (or moved) to gain access to earlier stored cars.

I'm staying as calm as I can, but I am eager to take delivery...

 

Stopped by the North Scottsdale dealer yesterday for service on my JCW Coupe. They anticipate cars to arrive next week, they have almost zero F56s there now.

 

I love it. My is suppose to be delivery today to the dealer. I am hoping.......

 

That makes sense, I had never read the book until my nephew was little and I was looking for a book for him. Being a bat lover I wound up buying one for myself and someone gave me the stuffed StellaLuna knowing my bat love (my first tattoo was a bat, bats show up wherever I live, ravens, and crows too-- they actually come and sit and "talk" next to me, crazy!) I have loved them since I was a child, only when I was older finding out how good they are for the environment and donate to Bat Conservation International to help save their homes and educate people about them.

Maybe StellaLuna was a transsexual, having underwent the change during her "sentence"? Heehee! Ah regardless I know you'll love her & I hope she arrives soon! If I had a coupe Beaucoup would be perfect, love it! Somehow my cars all wind up being female, but not prissy, more like tough "broads".

Ughhhh. My original estimated delivery date was 10/4 in the OL. Ask Mini confirmed that it would ship out the 3rd and arrive the 4th. Well the wife's car did but mine did not and now my estimated delivery date has moved to 10/8! Guess I'm waiting another whole week :(

 

I was there yesterday to do a test drive and place an order; they had two F56S, both deep blue and automatics. When I told my MA what I was looking for he didn't even both to see if there were any around, but they have ~100 on the way soon.

 

My sales person called just now & my Mini is at the dealership & will be in my hands within a day or to. !!!!!!

 

Mine hasn't been heard from yet, according to the sales manager...still showing at the VDC, with a estimated delivery date of 10/9.
