F55/F56 Week 27 build -- this is your status thread!
October 1 was always a tentative date. I heard it from my MA, and a few others have heard it, too. Someone a few days ago said they got it confirmed by MINI USA.
Terrific! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The part that bugs the crap out of me is if the cars will begin getting released on 10/3 then why does the OL tracker thingy now say the estimated delivery is 10/3? I see the word "estimated" in that sentence and know what it means. They just added the date to my tracker thingy last week. If the release date for all 2015 Hardtop MINIS is 10/3 then anyone filling out that number should know that my car won't make a 400 mile trip to the dealer and get prepped in one day under any circumstances let alone the massive exodus which will be happening from distribution centers.
How can a company not communicate so efficiently? You'd have to work at screwing this all up any worse.
You know what I want? I'll tell you what I want. I want MINI to have the guts to say "We screwed up and are really sorry. Your car will be released on October x (where x is the real date) and you will be able to buy the car you ordered on October x + 4." Having my salesman call me and tell me something without me having to ask would be nice too.
It's how you show respect for people you do business with, you communicate with them.
I'm not as angry as I sound, just frustrated because I feel MINI handled this whole affair very poorly.

I contacted my MA yesterday and all he could say was he has not heard any information to contradict an October release, but he has learned to believe it when he sees it. I'm not making that up - that is my delivery status update as of yesterday. Whoopie

I am now October 5th which is a Sunday and the dealer is not open on Sunday after being October 8th on the OL since a date was giving to me on the site. Am I going to hear from the dealer today? Time to get the finance set up finally.

Me too - word for word.
Well, October 1 is now here and I am probably more frustrated today than I was when this whole delay thing came about.
I'd really like to know approximately when my car is coming. The owners lounge only show "vehicle is at VDC". I call 1-866-ASK-MINI who has zero information beyond this and only says "contact your dealer".
I contacted my MA late last week -- nice email (i.e. not yelling) "it's almost October, any updates". Reply was "we'll call you when it's here, it should be soon".
I don't know how the VDC works, namely what drives the order of the cars they work on and then how and when they update the expected delivery date.
But, I'm just sitting here getting steamed thinking that someone has forgotten about my car and that it will just "get here someday, but who knows when".
I guess I'll send an email to the sales manager today, who has been the one I've dealt with in terms of pricing when I switched from a 2014 to 2015 order "at the same price" -- which turned out to not be the same price because my built started when the "required options" were still required.
I sure hope I like the car because despite the nice "accommodation" worked out with Mini due to the delay, I'm getting pretty annoyed again...

Nothing at the EPA site where you search filings. Do you have any EPA links where we would see anything?
F56 MC6MT 29/40/33
F56 MC6AT 28/37/31
F56 MCS6MT 24/34/27
F56 MC6MT went from 2014 30/42/34 to 2015 29/40/33

Yippeeee! Just got the word from my dealer, too! Makes me even more glad I ordered a stick. At least that ought to make it a little easier to get mine out of there, since most of them are probably automatics.
MINIwuff, thanks for sharing!
