Rear sway bar comparison

24 mm vs 25 mm. twice the cost for the NM. Thoughts?

In my opinion, NM stuff is overpriced. Also, a 22mm solid bar should be roughly the same stiffness as a hollow 25mm bar. Not sure what NM is smoking saying the 25mm hollow bar is twice as stiff…

I would have no issue running the Whiteline REAR bar you have linked. Looks like you’re still on stock suspension, too. The rear bar will be a nice addition.

You mean REAR??

I would go for the VIP 23mm solid bar, that was my gateway drug!!

A few years later, I think I am ready to take the plunge on a rear sway bar. Looking at the VIP https://www.vipcustomparts.com/F54%20parts%20page.html with the NM end links.
That combo is $400, then $350 or so for install.

Plan to install a rear bar on my 2020 F54 JCW All-4. I have installed the NM rear bar on a couple of previously own F54S models all front wheel drive versions. I would imagine installation could be a bit more complex in an All4 Car. Any inputs from others? Thanks

It's not a difficult job, but time consuming. You do have to drop the rear subframe to get enough room. See my install here.

Thank you very much, Gearhead60! From your excellent install post it doesn’t appear any more difficult than any I have done on several previous installs on front wheel drive Clubmen.

Thanks for the help, I’m not a young one any more!

As I remember you should remove the rear cross brace that runs across the exhaust pipe tunnel. This will allow additional clearance as you lower the rear sub frame. It is easy to remove just four small fasteners.
