NM Sway Bar

Hey. I was looking at putting NM's 22mm sway bar on my JCW, but I noticed that they are also selling a 25mm sway bar. Would this be a little too rigid? Any opinions would help alot. Thanks.

I have the 22mm and the handling is neutral on the mid setting. Can't imagine why you would need to go bigger. I imagine you are trying to lose the understeer.

I noticed that the 22mm is solid and the 25mm is tube. Id almost be more inclined to go for the 22mm. Although the 25mm comes with the billet brackets w/ zerk fittings which are well worth it. I had a set of them on my Audi TTS.

Yes the fittings on the 25 MM are nice.

Well the 25mm is a hollow bar so its not like having a 25mm solid rear bar. It's more like a 22mm or maybe slightly stiffer solid bar depending on the wall thickness of the the tubing used. But it's going to be a small difference over the 22mm. Will be nice to see the actual wall thickness and rate comparison.

I'd just go with the 22mm solid bar as we've used them and they are great on the street car and we keep them in stock.

In my experience the 25mm hollow bar will probably be way lighter than the solid. It's just a guess but NM solid bar is probably 2 1/2 times the weight of the stock 22mm hollow bar. It's really heavy.
Most of the torsional strength of a solid bar s wasted because the strength is at the outside edges. If I had know that there was a 25mm bar before I installed my 22mm I would have gone that way. No question. It will likely deliver the same torsional strength at well under half the weight.
